How have I not done this?  It's time to settle the famous prehistoric rivalry that has been played out many times.

Tyrannosaurus rex

Length: 40 ft

Height: 13 ft

Strengths: size, speed, strength, binocular vision, jaws, endurance

Triceratops prorsus

Length: 26 ft

Height: 9 ft

Strength: size, speed, strength, horns, frill

Fight!

North America, 65 million years ago.  A drought had stricken the area.  A lone male Tyrannosaurus rex was desperately looking for a meal.  A few days ago, his mate, the last member of his pack other then himself, had died of starvation.  He refused to eat his own flesh and blood and so left.

The T.rex wandered along the cliffside, finding an herbivore he had seen several times.  It was his nemesis, a bull Triceratops, the leader of his herd.  The T.rex and what had once been his pack would constantly prey upon the bull Trike's herd.  Our individuals often clashed during these hunts.

The first time, both were young and inexperienced.  The Trike had scraped his horn across the T.Rex's torso, leaving a large gash that went from his shoulder to his thigh.  The rex had grabbed the Trike's leg, leaving a bite mark there.  From that day forward, the Trike always walked with a bit of a limp.

The second time, the Trike had severed an artery in the rex's leg.  The carnivore wasn't able to hunt for a few weeks.  He had left the Trike with a scar on his neck.

This was their third confrontation.  The Trike didn't notice the rex, which allowed him to ambush his prey.  He charged forward, causing the herbivore to summon all the strength in his legs to flee.  The hungry predator soon caught up and grabbed his frill while raking his thigh with his toe claws.

However, the Triceratops slipped free and continued running.  But the rex was persistent and came from the side, clamping down on his horn.

The herbivore spun around and faced his attacker, the two recognising each other.

The rex roared, and the Trike responded with a roar of his own.  The Tyrannosaurus watched as the Trike charged, his horns aimed right for his chest cavity.

The carnivore sidestepped, latching onto the ceratopsian's neck.

The Trike bellowed, feeling the pain that he had felt the last time he fought this Tyrannosaur.  Coincidentally, the rex had bitten the exact same spot, cutting the scar open.  This greatly angered the herbivore, who charged, trampling the T.Rex with his powerful front legs.  He broke several of the predator's ribs, he was at the herbivore's mercy.

Just before he was about to impale the hunter through the neck, the rex threw him off, getting to his feet.  Thunder cracked and lightning flashed as the rivals re-engaged in a standoff.

They charged at each other, but the Trike dashed past his attacker.  This confused him, but he chased him in hot pursuit.  The Trike looked to the left, seeing the Tyrannosaurus, who roared in agony and anger.  The left horn had pierced the Tyrannosaur's flesh, not very deep, but it still hurt a lot.

The carnivore, in extreme pain, fell to the ground, writhing in agony.  But before he went, he caught the horn in his jaws and jerked his head, creating a loud snap; the horn had come off.

The predator's toe claws scratched the herbivore's frill, blood falling into the herbivore's eyes.  He couldn't see, allowing the rex to grab his opponent by the neck.

Knowing he wouldn't make it, the Trike threw himself off the cliff, taking the rex with him.  They both fell to their deaths, their final cries drowning out every other sound in the area.

Present day Isla Sorna.  The same individuals, revived by InGen, fought.  Their duel played out the same way, only there was no cliff.  This time, the Triceratops had the rex at his mercy.

The Tyrannosaurus let out an ear-shattering cry that alerted his mate.  She picked up his scent, ramming the Trike in the shoulder.  The plant eater couldn't react fast enough, and the female rex ended the Triceratops with a bite to the neck.

The male was on his feet, and the two feasted on their kill.

Winner: Tyrannosaurus rex!

All bets were off once the female showed up.
