Chapter 12: Forsaken

Another three years have passed since Tyrance’s first successful hunt, and even more has changed. Tyranak has now successfully trained Tyrana, Tyranno, Tyrani and Tyrantic. They can now be called officially, T.rex.

Tyranno, Tyrana and Tyrani’s size has stayed the same mainly. However Tyrance and Tyrantic’s heights have dramatically increased, with Tyrance reaching fifteen feet now, and Tyrantic at fourteen. Tyrantic’s jaw-power has stayed the same, but Tyrance’s has increased from twelve-thousand to eighteen-thousand, unthinkable.

As the T.rex adapted to the Golden-Land, Winters were always the hardest aspect of living. From it’s harsh climate, to the endless snow, and finally the lack of herbivores, as they migrate out during the Winter to the southern portion of Dhahabi’ard.

This Winter however was like no other, it was a day prior and the spine-chilling climate had already sent the herbivores migrating down south, and even claimed the lives of a few. Tyranak was well aware of this, and him and the other fourteen had already established a hardy dead anatotitan supply to cope with the Winter.

Tyrance and his siblings had only a few small patches of feathers left, they were nearing adulthood. Tyrance looked into the distance off the pinnacle of Dhahabi’ard, thousands of snow-flakes plummeted down to the Earth in a endless array. Tyranno feared this deeply, as he hated cold with a passion. Tyrantic too looked at the endless snow, he looked at Tyrance and growled randomly.

Tyrance only looked at his brother, but he could do nothing else before Tyrantic with a grin rammed him off one of the pillars into a mountain of snow. The T.rex was saved by the mountain of snow, but he was definitely grazed. He lifted his head up and looked at Tyrantic with a menacing snarl.

Tyrance, clambered up with his small arms and muscular legs back onto the mountain, and just as he did this he clamped onto the neck of Tyrantic who bellowed in pain. Tyrance then through the beast with fierce power to his left. Tyrance moved on, but Tyrantic unlike Tyrance couldn’t forget this.

Tyranak looked into the distance, the sight of so much snow worried him deeply, would their food supply be enough? Would they even be warm enough was the question that pulsated through Tyranak’s dinosaurian brain.

Tyrana and Tyranno frolicked in the snow below the mountain as Tyrantic secretively began a trek towards his cave. Going through the leafless trees and snow-covered ground, Tyrantic ran towards his cave. So strange is this phenomenon, an animal, consciously looking for a second home besides his main home, this displays a superior level of intelligence to the rest of his species.

When Tyrantic finally made it to his cave, he lied down and ate some of his stashed away anatotitan meat he had stolen from the pillaring mountains the rest of the rex call home. Tyrantic’s eyes looked deranged, blood-shot, as though he had been banging his head against a wall.

Back at the real home of the rex, Tyranak continued to stare into the distance. Tyranak was beyond worried now, there were no herbivores in-sight, and their food supply couldn’t last until Spring.

Things are very different in this prehistoric world you are seeing, Winters last much longer than they do in the modern age, approximately eight months. This duration was what worried Tyranak, their survival will solely depend on Tyrance and his siblings, and soon you will see why.

Chapter 11 End.

Next chapter is extremely important and very big, stay tuned.

Good grief.

GORILLAGODZILLA - Oh, how very neat! The addition of the harsh winter months to develop a new sseries of threats for Tyranak and his family is quite compelling - and the little bit of fun they had in the snow was extremely cute! I can not wait for the next chapter! Thank you ever so much for sharing this with us! :)

I'm finding it quite hard to access the topics with the new Scified layout. Nonetheless it's a great chapter!!!

Remember that chap, I forget his name, he climbed Everest without any oxygen, came down nearly dead. They asked him, they said, "Why did you go up there to die?" He said, "I didn't, I went up there to live."
