Tyranak and the Pack continued down the swamp. They pressed forward, smashing through trees and logs, above small hills, and finally around a river. The smell loomed closer and closer, and Tyranak knew his family’s meal was ever so close.
The sky was cloudy, with pteranodons flying about, accompanied by a red sun slowly falling below the view of the world’s inhabitants. The pack continued walking, the vast streams of water filled with algae were all they were walking through, no dry land was viewed for miles.
Tyranak stopped for a moment, he stopped the pack and ordered them to view their surroundings. The scent of the beast seems to have vanished, but Tyranak knew this was not the truth. One of the members of the pack chirped to Tyranak that a scent of dung was emanating through his nostrils, Tyranak knew exactly what that scent was.
The entire pack instantly began their trek to the east where the scent was first caught. Finally, after nearly eight hours of travel, the Alamosaurus was now viewable by the pack of T.rex. The entire pack crouched down low and slowed down their movement, hoping not to alert their prey.
Tyranak snorted to the pack, ordering them to spread out in different directions to flank the beast. Two of the members moved towards the upper left of the Alamosaurus, while another two moved over to the upper right of the beast. Two more went around the Alamosaurus and were now in-front of it, yet covered by trees blocking the scent of the sauropod. Finally, Tyranak and the Beta moved over straight behind of the behemoth, the hunt had already begun, and was nearing it’s end.
The two above the Alamosaurus made themselves known and immediately alerted the grazing Alamosaurus. The behemoth backed up, but that was it’s worse mistake as the four from the upper left and right encroached on the Alamosaurus cornering it. The Alamosaurus began to back up, but it was finally faced with it’s ultimate worst fear, Tyranak. Tyranak has a reputation among dinosaurs, he made himself known as the king, and any dinosaur respects him as such, even prey.
Tyranak bellowed at the Alamosaurus, and it yelled back, it wasn’t going down without a fight. The two members on the right charged, grabbing and ripping off one-hundred pounds of flesh from the body of the Alamosaurus; the two on the right clamped onto the gigantic legs of the beast, they had to let go quickly as it was lifting it’s body up, preparing to smash down.
The members backed up as the Alamosaurus smashed it’s feet onto the ground, sending a vibration around the land for miles. This meant nothing to Tyranak, who charged the Alamosaurus and clamped onto it’s body. While the Alamosaurus was distracted, another two members also clamped onto it’s body. The two in the front grabbed it’s leg with their un-matched bite, nearly knocking over the Alamosaurus, if it goes down now it won’t get back up.
The two in the left grabbed the other leg of the beast, finally collapsing it to the ground. Tyranak walked onto the top of the beast, and ended it quickly by breaking it’s neck with his some nineteen-thousand pounds of bite-force. The hunting team instantly began to gorge on the prey, with Tyranak indulging first. Tearing off thick pieces of fatty flesh, the Tyrannosaurus were in near-heaven. Before the T.rex knew it, they had nearly eaten the entire carcass, leaving only a gigantic piece of body flesh with some ribs left for the children and Tyranoa.
Tyranak ordered the pack to stop the eating, and bellowed at two of them to lift the giant piece of flesh while they guard them back to the nesting grounds. The members not lifting the meat guarded the ones lifting the meat from any potential scavengers. A micro-raptor was watching the pack, and it was determined to get a quick meal.
The micro-raptor glided down, and landed atop of the flesh, but just as he thought he got his meal Tyranak bellowed instantly forcing it to glide away from the meat. The pack continued down the trail back home, it was a extremely long trek back, nearly ten hours. On top of all of that, they had to guard the flesh, which was NOT a easy job.
The air was moderate, while the sun still beamed red light onto the soil. The swampy ground was covered with vast marshes, and thick mangroves. Tyranak was very aware of what lived in this swamp along with which directions to take throughout it, but even he was unprepared for what to expect on this long trek back.
Tyranak stopped the stroll of the trek, he placed his large foot in the mud and lifted his head up, smelling the air, something was disturbing him. The scent he knew very well, Giganotosaurus, a neighboring pack was very close by, and Tyranak was very disturbed. Giganotosaurus wasn’t their greatest issue however, as leaping from the bushes, a pack of Deinonychus, ten, inched closer alerting the Tyrants.
Tyranak bellowed at the Deinonychus. It made them back up a little, but they still encircled the pack, eyeing the meat closely. One of the members bellowed and charged at the Deinonychus, making them scurry, but they assembled back as a pack quickly. Tyranak ordered the pack to continue walking, eventually the Deinonychus will leave.
The pack continued on, ignoring the stalking of the Deinonychus, they truly couldn’t do anything to the T.rex. Yet, another threat loomed upon Tyranak. He stopped the pack, the scent of the Giganotosaurus loomed closer, he feared he would have to do battle with his sworn enemies, the only ones banished from his swamp besides Nanotyrannus.
The Deinonychus, like the sly devils they are sneakingly ripped off a small piece of flesh and scurried away while the rex were distracted. Tyranak began to feel worried, he had only six members of his pack available, the other two were carrying meat. This could go very poorly or very well. Suddenly, from the dense mangroves of the swamp, the Giganotosaurus burst through, revealing themselves to Tyranak.
The six members bellowed and bared their teeth while Tyranak remained calm and watched the beasts. The leader of the banished pack, Giganoctus, walked through and up to Tyranak. Tyranak bellowed at the leader ordering him to leave the area immediately as he was not allowed in his territory. Giganoctus didn’t do so, he too feared Tyranak, but he wasn’t going to leave so easily. Giganoctus and his pack too were experiencing the effects of the drought, as most of the herds had left to the more contained pride lands of North America, away from the swamp. A meal wouldn’t come easy, especially from a T.rex.
Giganoctus inched closer and bellowed at Tyranak, but he was in for a shock as Tyranak bellowed back and clamped onto Giganoctus’s head, sending the giant into immeasurable pain. Tyranak let go, he didn’t want to kill Giganoctus, just establish his dominance. Tyranak finally bared his teeth, and Giganoctus realized the power was too great for his weakened self right now, and ordered his pack to leave them alone.
Tyranak was pleased with the choice of Giganoctus, he bellowed to his pack and they continued their trek back home. They were close to the nesting grounds, but due to Fall the air was cooler, the ground was covered with logs everywhere which the rexes had to look out for, and the water was much deeper than usual.
The two who were carrying the carcass began to feel tired. Tyranak noticed this, and immediately told them to place down the flesh and rest up for the final journey back home. Tyranak led them to a watering hole, in which they drank to their hearts content. However, this was indeed a swamp, and vast amounts of algae littered the waters. The rexes drank the algae by accident, and immediately coughed it up. Tyranak was displeased by this, this only made him affirm his decision to leave the swamp and head to the vast plains.
The two picked back up the carcass, and the pack continued their trek.
Tyranoa comforted her children as they slept. She began to hear loud vibrations, she didn’t fear these though, as she knew her family was back. From the mangroves Tyranak and the other nine members returned, carrying a giant piece of slightly rotted alamosaurus flesh, T.rexes favorite.
Tyrance and his siblings instantly woke up and chirped happily at the arrival of their father. The two members dropped the meat, and Tyranoa allowed her children to eat first. Tyrance ripped into the flesh, this time allowing the entire pack to eat cause he knew how much they were starving. Tyrance tore off a thick piece of meat and walked off to indulge in it.
In the morning, the pack would leave off towards the pride-lands.

MemberBrachiosaurusNov-27-2015 3:38 AMLove the fact that Tyranak is the most feared and respected being in the swamps. Giga got no chance!

MemberAllosaurusNov-27-2015 6:38 AM^I think it makes a cool sense of power and dominance for Tyranak, and kind of adds to his character with being the most respected! Glad you enjoyed the chapter!
Good grief.

MemberTriceratopsNov-29-2015 1:03 PMGreat chapter! Just one question. Did the mom and children not eat the dead Nano-rexes? I mean it would be enough food for the whole pack right?
GG
MemberAllosaurusNov-29-2015 1:27 PMThey did eat the Nanotyrannus. That's why they were not that hungry. But Nanotyrannus (if it existed) was a relatively small dinosaur, about the size of a grown man. Therefore two wouldn't be enough to satisfy the children and Tyranoa.
Good grief.

MemberTriceratopsNov-30-2015 7:18 AMOhhh Okay. I thought they were the same size, if not bigger or smaller, as T-Rex xD.

MemberAllosaurusDec-07-2015 3:50 PMNot often you see an Alamosaurus in a story. Nice addition! :)
The Rex and Giga fight was pretty good too. Don't think I've ever seen a fight where it's just a small establishment of dominance instead of a full-out battle.

MemberAllosaurusDec-29-2015 7:22 PMFinally Alamosaurus's existence is acknowledged not in Last Day of the Dinosaurs, where an entire herd died
