Isla Nublar: A New Era: Chapter 5

   MILD SPOILERS BELOW 

     Blue sees something familiar in the distance and tells her pack to stop. They had been feasting on the dead Apatosaurus herd for days now. Blue slowly approaches the shape, and soon is able to see what it is. She stands still, shocked by what she sees- it’s Delta! Blue ran towards her former packmate as Delta stops running.

     Hissing, Delta slowly approaches Blue. However, she’s staring at something behind Blue. Blue tells Delta about the wild raptors, and leads her to the kill. The other raptors back off as Delta, severely injured and malnourished, devours a chunk of meat from a carcass. After a few minutes, she rests near the carcass as the rest of the pack begins to eat again.

     The next day, Delta begins to get to know the wild raptors. It takes a while for them to get used to her, but eventually they see her as a member of the pack. Later that day, Rexy approaches the valley, and sees the raptors. She charges, attempting to scare them away from their kill. All of the raptors run except Blue, who hisses at Rexy. She slows down and stares at Blue, remembering how she helped her battle the Indominus rex. It’s been about a week since that day, and the carcasses won’t last much longer. After a minute, Rexy moves towards the largest carcass and begins to eat.

     After a few more days, the pack abandons the Apatosaurus carcasses. However, Blue and Delta aren’t very familiar with hunting, as Delta has survived on smaller prey and dead pterosaurs. The wild raptors have been hunting for about a year, and are skilled at hunting prey such as Parasaurolophus and Gallimimus. Eventually, the group finds a small Parasaurolophus herd, and the wild raptors begin to chase one. It begins to run, as two raptors leap onto it from the side. The ones chasing it leap on a few seconds after, and soon the Parasaurolophus is taken down. The pack eats, but soon they spot a Triceratops heading in their direction. Slowly, they back off, trying not to anger it. When it passes, the group begins to eat again.
