MemberCompsognathusApr-29-2015 2:58 PMHas anyone else noticed that Charlie from Owen's Raptor Squad owns different eyes in accordance to every other pack member?
Blue, Delta, and Echo own the stereotypical lizard/snake eyes generally given to dinosaurs (albiet inaccurately), but Charlie seems to be different.
He's got bird eyes!
Isn't that odd? XD
As always, correct me if this topic has already been brought to light. But in the meantime, why do guys think that is? Maybe Charlie is more bird-like in overall behavior than the others?
EDIT:: It's now been brought to light that it is in fact DELTA who owns the bird-DNA, not Charlie. The poster is wrong. However, the question remains.

MemberCompsognathusApr-29-2015 3:19 PMIt's 100% Intentional.
Y'see, Colin wanted each raptor to have it's own personality, He even went as far as to have different Puppeteers and Modelers (to base the CGI tracking on) for it.
The Bird eye is probably just a Genetic flaw... Notice how they're all different colours as well? They've purposely tampered with the Genetic Code to get it.
I did not notice this before, Good on you for pointing that out.

MemberAllosaurusApr-29-2015 4:02 PMI read a YouTube comment saying Charlie had circular pupils because he was retarded. XD
Maybe the film will tell us.

MemberCompsognathusApr-29-2015 9:09 PMActually, Delta is the one who has the most bird DNA. Here's a quote from Empire Magazine:
"Blue (the leader), Charlie (the youngest and twitchiest), Delta (the one spliced with the most bird DNA) and Echo (the one with the scar, nicknamed 'Elvis' by InGen handlers)"
And, I'm not sure if that picture is official or not. I could be wrong, but...

MemberCompsognathusApr-30-2015 7:29 PMAlso here is a quote from each Raptor from the Lego infographics that were released today. It also reveals how each Raptor got its individual colors. If don't want spoilers, don't read these.
Blue:
"In the late Cretaceous Period, the Velociraptor excelled at hunting with its keen senses, large brain, and the retractable sickle claw on each foot – and no creature in Jurassic World demonstrates this better than Blue, the leader and oldest member of the raptor pack. Larger, smarter and more cunning than the rest, she insists on eating first…which is why Own feeds her last so she remembers he’s in charge. DNA from a Black-Throated African Monitor Lizard provides her distinctive pattern of scales, which reflect an iridescent blue color."
Charlie:
"Charlie is the youngest member of the current raptor pack, and its least-experienced hunter. Her instinct-driven reactions make her hard to predict, so Owen never takes his eyes off her during training sessions. As the “rookie” of the group, Charlie looks to Blue for guidance and commands during hunts, and will immediately give up a meal to her pack leader. The InGen scientists have genetically programmed her with the dramatic striping of a large Green Iguana."
Delta:
"The second-eldest member of the raptor pack, Delta shows the signs of InGen’s genetic experimentation and modification in several ways. Along with her unique gecko-like pupils, she has been infused with more avian DNA than her sister raptors have, resulting in her very bird-like movements and behaviors. Being watched by Delta is a lot like being stared at by an eagle about to launch an attack."
Echo:
"When they were both young raptors, Echo once challenged Blue for command of the pack. Unfortunately for her, Blue was the stronger fighter, and Echo was left with the permanent scars of their encounter across her face. Because of her permanent sneer, some of the Jurassic World dinosaur handlers have nicknamed her “Elvis”."

MemberCompsognathusMay-01-2015 12:35 AMIt's funny how they would describe them as Gecko eyes. Most geckos own slits, not circular pupils.
Nonetheless, I like how they are giving these animals a bit more individuality. The more character they give them, the more they seem like actualy creatures instead of the general "RAWR. I EAT YOU NOW."

MemberCompsognathusMay-01-2015 9:40 AMI know!
I do enjoy that! It really sows how Colin knows what he's doing with this movie.

MemberAllosaurusMay-01-2015 4:55 PM@Gojira2K, I guess I was somewhat right with the raptors of my series Five Nights at Jurassic World. I don't feel like giving a comparison right now.
