MemberAllosaurusFeb-19-2015 6:53 AMWhile I was reading the Jurassic Park novel last night, Hammond mentioned frozen embryos in InGen's lab in PaloAlto, Calfornia. I was thinking, what if InGen decided to make a new Jurassic with these frozen embryos and the dinosaurs on Isla Sorna? Kind of like Jurassic World without a hybrid dinosaur escaping and wreaking havoc on everything (though it would spiral out of control like the last attempt after a while). What do you think of this idea?
I personally think it would introduce a wide variety of species, like the ones featured in the first novel (except maybe not the raptors, though they would be in the park), and a few more species, such as Carnotaurus and Coelurus (the hatchling seen at the beginning of the tour). Fixing the problems in the past, InGen sets out to make Jurassic Park a reality...

MemberTriceratopsFeb-19-2015 9:43 AMIt sounds like an interesting idea, but I think the only person who should be able to write a legit story along those lines should be Michael Crichton himself, and he unfortunately passed away.
It takes a special person and a lot of time and effort (not to mention research) in order to write a novel like the original Jurassic Park and The Lost World. Crichton had to research so much it took him at least 4 years to do, and even before JP was finished, he was getting calls for obtaining film rights.

MemberCompsognathusFeb-19-2015 12:16 PMDidn't Mr.Happy do a Series on this some time ago?
It had hammond going around Jurassic world doing his business, There was a Part where Muldoons wife visited his grave on the island, The Rex got out at one point...
Anyone remember that?

Interesting idea SFKing.

MemberAllosaurusFeb-19-2015 9:12 PMLike AlphaDino said, the only person who could do it would have been Michael Crichton, and he didn't want to do a third book, which I respect.
It's still, however, an interesting idea.
IT'S TIME TO DU-DU-DU-DU-DUEL!!!

MemberCompsognathusFeb-19-2015 9:27 PMI think Crichton left that as a Plot point for a reason, So he could return to it if he ever wanted to make a third one.
But, I believe it was the fact that JP3 Came out so quickly that Colin didn't write a third book. Deciding to sit in on the Scripting instead.
It wouldn't be the same if they made a Third and it wasn't by Crichton... It'd be... Weird...

MemberAllosaurusFeb-20-2015 12:09 PMI understand that only Chrichton himself could write a great novel, but it'd be an interesting idea for maybe JW to mention. Still, thanks for the feedback! :)
