MemberTyrannosaurus RexFeb-01-2015 4:24 PMI'd like to apologize for the inconvinience (however that word is spelled) with my other thread that got deleted. I had intended to edit it, but it wouldn't let me edit it, so I requested it get deleted and reposted this. I like having all the information in the discussion as opposed to comments, because I feel that people are more likely to read the whole posty if it's in this area instead of in the comments.
Again, sorry for the inconvinience.
Alright guys, for those who haven't seen the trailer, here's the link.
First thoughts: Holy sh!t, that was bloody awesome.
After second time watching: Holy sh!t, that was bloody awesome.
Anyway, here's what I think and what I saw.
The Raptors were really cool. They look menacing, and they sound menacing. It looked like they were about to attack Owen, but I doubt they were. They might be awaiting a new command.
The I-Rex was quite something. As it stands, from the two trailers, I retract all the crap I've said about her. She's awesome. That doesn't change the fact that I want Rex to show her who's boss, but the I-Rex is pretty sweet. She's powerful, she's big, she may be the most dangerous thing the franchise has ever seen.
Anyone notice when the Pteranodons were attacking, one picked up a woman? Never seen a woman die in the trilogy, but it would appear as though that has changed. Wonder if they'll kill off a kid or two as well. I actually want to see that (yes, I am kinda sick and twisted).
The gun nut that I am is screaming to be let out after seeing Owen's rifle. I have a theory on what it is. If you'd like, just comment wether or not you'd like to see my theory, and I'll post it.

MemberAllosaurusFeb-01-2015 4:28 PMWe don't know that the woman dies (probably a 98% chance). :T Still, it was amazing seeing the helicopter shooting at the I. rex.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexFeb-01-2015 4:34 PMYou survive if you're a woman or child going by JP standards. I really hope that changes.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexFeb-01-2015 4:40 PMIt better.
Who's hoping Rexy shows that albino freak who's boss?

Regardless, movie looks great. After watching the trailer, my dad says this might be the best JP yet.

MemberCompsognathusFeb-01-2015 4:57 PMI do wonder what they'll do with the crowd, gather them somewhere "safe"... try and evacuate the island?

I hope they edit that.

MemberTriceratopsFeb-01-2015 5:12 PMThis trailer should be nominated for an Osacer, it's so good!!! I have watched it at least 10 times, and it gets better and better!
I.rex is even more terrifying than I could have imagined. And she is SO HUGE!!! She's gotta be at least 18 at the hips. And those claws!! Perfect for fear.
Owen's raptors look great, even better with a bit of colour in their hides. If the feral raptor pack rumour is true, expect them to be green and JP brown, b/c I'm willing to bet that the colour change is because the geneticists wanted to see if they could give them different colours.
And yeah, I get that supposed "rule" where the women and children don't get killed. But think, this is on an island park with 20,000 people. The odds of only the women surviving are slim to none. And as if the animals care. That Pteranodon wanted food, and got it.

MemberTriceratopsFeb-01-2015 5:33 PMI agree Spinofan! I don't care whether I'm eating bull or cow for dinner, as long as it's bovine steak or meatloaf and it tastes good.

MemberCompsognathusFeb-01-2015 8:09 PMMy goodness the mosasaur looks better (and i see they upgraded its lagoon as well!).
Also, was it just me, or did the raptors look really bulky?

MemberCompsognathusFeb-01-2015 8:12 PMI noticed the bulky raptors too Silver_Falcon. Maybe they're fed too much

MemberTriceratopsFeb-01-2015 9:44 PMSilver Falcon, I noticed it too. I thought I was seeing things, or maybe it was because they were crouched down and had their knees bent, but I went to see how the Big One and her sisters looked 22 years ago and they were indeed thinner.
Who honestly knows? Zoo animals do eat more often than than in the wild, so that could be it. Or it could be that the JP raptors were relatively young, and the TLW & JP3 were wild, while the JW raptors probably are a couple of years old. How else could Owen have enforced such command over the. Training animals, no matter how controversial and barbaric it is, takes time.

MemberCompsognathusFeb-02-2015 5:41 AMI-rex looks even uglier than I expected. On a side note, it shouldn't be 15 m + long as shown here, but rather 2.5 m or even less. That's what Cau pointed out on his blog.
Raptors are terrible. Why the hell did they remove the feathers or Raptors' head? At least, it was closer to the true Velociraptor.
Mosasaurus is still as big as a blue whale.
Those pterosaurs are inaccurate. Pterosaurs couldn't grab things with their feet, yet that's what that pterosaur did.
All in all, I didn't enjoy that trailer so much.

MemberCompsognathusFeb-02-2015 7:22 AMAnd what's wrong with bulky raptors?
utahraptor was bulky.

MemberCompsognathusFeb-02-2015 8:23 AMYou're kidding yourself if you want accuracy as this NOT a documentary, it is a SCI-FI movie...rant over :)

MemberTyrannosaurus RexFeb-02-2015 8:38 AMAlways going to be a hater.
Didn't say this before, but I like the bulky Raptors. Makes them seem tougher.

MemberCompsognathusFeb-02-2015 8:46 AMgigadino, how about you come up with an original thought instead of parroting cau and repeating the same nonsensical nonsense over and over?
though if your insistant on continuing, go ahead. it gives me a good laugh to see some one complain about the innacuracies of a science fiction movie. one building on a franchise that never really had the intent to be scientifically accurate anyway!

MemberCompsognathusFeb-02-2015 10:07 AMWhen I saw the trailer I wondered why Owen (Chris Pratt) and an employee would be in the dreaded Indominus Rex enclosure. When I looked back at the chase scene I noticed that there were scratch marks on the door. I bet the Indominus Rex made it look like she escaped by scratching the door and using her camoflage. Owen thought she escaped so they went in to investigate. Once in she saw her chance and ran for the door scooping up anyone in her way. I am thinking this is how she escapes.
