MemberCompsognathusJan-12-2015 11:04 PMHello, I'm new here and would just like to introduce myself along with bring up a rumor that's been floating around. I'm sure a lot of you have heard that the I-Rex has been rumored (emphasis on rumored) to have human dna, but fortunately not like the concept art you see of past JP4 ideas. Instead, the human dna purely adds intelligence, making it even smarter than the problem solving velociraptor. But who's dna would they use to splice with the I-Rex?I have a couple theories.
1.) The most practical would probably be Henry Wu's dna, as in the books and movies he's pretty much the mastermind and head of genetics for the park, and having his dna contributing his intelligence to the I-Rex to make it that much more menacing.
2.) A bit of a reach, but certainly the most interesting idea. They use dna from the now passed John Hammond, so that in a way he is now a part of the park that he once dreamed with the I-Rex having his dna. I'm not sure if the human dna is even true, it's most likely a rumor, but what a tribute to the park's founder it would be to splice his dna with their new hybrid dinosaur.
Those are just some thoughts I've cooked up about the rumor, and I'd be interested in feedback or even better, more ideas as to who's dna would be used. Thank you, and I'm happy to join the JW community as a life long Jurassic Park fan!

MemberTyrannosaurus RexJan-12-2015 11:52 PMELVAARG - Welcome to SCIFIED! It is always quite agreeable to see new faces here! Your ideas and concepts are very interesting; I greatly enjoy the thought ot the I-Rex having human DNA spliced into its already hyper-unstable and convoluted genetic code! I can certainly see Henry Wu's DNA being the prime suspect for such an addition to this nightmarish creature - all the better to make it a living terror! Thank you ever so much for taking the time to present this interesting notion to us! :)

MemberCompsognathusJan-13-2015 12:23 AMThank you very much, Something Real! I'm very happy to to be a part of an online comunity for the first time in what feels like forever, especially one affiliated with Jurassic Park and dinosaurs in general! I do think if the rumors are true that Henry Wu certainly would make the most sense, and I also feel like the I-Rex would ironically end up killing Wu at some point in the movie. And I'm glad you found my theories interesting, I hope others will as well!

however, i'd like to point out intelligience doesn't originate in DNA. it originates in th brain and branches from cognitive ability, among other things.
neat theory, though

I have not heard this rumour at all, and I definitely think it is a false rumour, no matter how cool it may be. And here's why: Trevorrow confirmed that the I.rex's genetic code consisted only of the DNAs of: T.rex, Velociraptor, a snake, and a cuttlefish!! No human DNA AT ALL!!

MemberCompsognathusJan-13-2015 2:41 PMI had read it several places and I figured to be false leaked info unless Colin was trying to keep it under wraps, and there have been a lot of rumors spread about this movie so. Thank you, though for the input, Alpha (: I think you're probably right, but it's just an interesting idea to discuss. Imagine having your own dna in a dinosaur!

Personally, I don't believe I. rex will have human DNA, but it's still an interesting theory.

MemberCompsognathusJan-13-2015 6:49 PMThank you! And here's one of the many articles I've found about it, but it doesn't give much info, and I don't know how credible the site is, but it's one of many sources.

MemberCompsognathusJan-13-2015 8:57 PMHi and welcome, nice theories, I don't think it will and I hope not, however I did hear the rumour, only once you had posted this, on YouTube, an I said it is safe to assume it will be fine because the lego pics she looked normal, and she sounds normal from the trailer.
Nice, good to meet you! :D
