Lord Vader
MemberTyrannosaurus RexDec-27-2014 7:43 AMMerry Christmas from Mr.Happy9097
Well, I got delayed Thursday yesterday waiting for Primal King to finish the victory drawing, but the image alone is worth the wait.
Not sure what to say, so enjoy the fight I guess.
Random Fight:
Essentially, here's what's going to go down:
There's going to be a big brawl. No, scratch that, a huge brawl.
The winner will be the last family standing (Spinosaurus last one standing, Spinosaurs win, Albertosaurus last one standing, Tyrannosaurs win, etc).
The families included are whatever ones come to mind while writing this.
This will not be biased (ok, maybe a little, I'll be honest), so, if you disagree with the winner, or are "not surprised" by the winner, then don't complain, it was purely for entertainment.
And with that, I have nothing left to say, so......
Wait a minute, last minute thing I thought of. Members of a family will not fight each other (Tyrannosaurus will not attack Tarbosaurus, Spinosaurus will not attack Baryonyx, and so on)......... For a while, probably, some exceptions though.
Now, I truly have nothing to say, so.......
Prologue
Isla Nublar, 2030.
For the past 15 years, Isla Nublar has been peaceful. Human activity came to a crashing halt when the D-Rex escaped. The island was evacuated, though several staff and visitors never made it to the docks, or airport.
To this day, the events of that day lies in the memories of a select few. The D-Rex has been slain by the undisputed ruler of the island, Rexy the Tyrannosaurus Rex, but she has long since passed on due to old age. She was old and not expected to live much longer when Jurassic World was open. Sending her after the D-Rex was a distraction to continue evacuation while the two fought. No one, not the scientists, not the caretakers, not the security team, not even Owen, expected Rexy to last more than five minutes, let alone win.
That's a different story though. Today is the day a new ruling family is to finally be determined. Today, the rivers will run red, and only one family will remain. Which family is it? We'll find out at the end of this post. All of us, me included.
Begin!
The sun is just coming up over the horizon. The entire sky is painted with colours that would have to be seen to be believed. Outlined through the orange, pink and red sky, at the top of a cliff, is the black figure of a carnivore. It's identity is unknown at the moment, but this predator just might be the most dangerous creature Nublar has ever seen. More dangerous than the D-Rex, more dangerous than Rexy, maybe even more dangerous than The Big One. This predator, is feared by all, respected by all, and defeated by none. We'll see this predator again soon, but now, we begin the journey to the battleground.
As the sun rises, light touches more and more of the island. As the light continues to take the island from the dark, it shines into a cave. This is no ordinary cave that would house a family of Dromeaosaurs or of small mammals. It's home to something much, much larger. As the light pierces into the cave, it hits the eye of the owner. The sudden brightness woke the inhabitant. His eyes opened in a split second. The Tarbosaurus stood up and shook his head. It started for him like an ordinary day, but something was off and he could feel it. He decided not to worry about it, and he left the cave, unaware of the extreme peril he was in.
All the island's inhabitants were unaware of the extreme peril they were in, and as the sun rose up in the sky, predators from all corners of the island, every nook, cranny, cave, forest and beach, felt different. They were all in a fighting mood. The cause was unknown to the inhabitants of the island, but some herbivores watched a military ship sail past. They were testing a new bio weapon. After releasing the gas, the ship started heading back from where it came from. There was a storm coming, and they were going to be far away when it hit the island.
The Tarbosaurus had been walking for a few minutes, and he was steadily growing angrier. He heard a commotion near the centre of the island, and he started walking towards it.
A few miles away, a pack of Allosaurus had an Oxalaia cornered. The Oxalaia hissed, and the pack of five roared back in unison. That's what the Tarbosaurus had heard. The Oxalaia had his back to a large cliff. In front of him, was the pack, and past them was a large plain. Beyond the plain, was a forest. The Oxalaia was far from his home turf, the river at the bottom of the cliff, and he didn't like it one bit.
The Allosaurus pack, despite each individual being half the weight or less of the Oxalaia, had him trapped. The Oxalaia would mock charge, but the pack would simply jump back, then get back into position. The Oxalaia's attempts to get out of the corner were futile, and he knew he would have to do something big shortly. One Allosaurus got a little close, and the Oxalaia quickly lashed out, ripping his head and neck open. The pack looked as blood poured out pack mate's head and neck as he flailed around hopelessly before going limp. The pack looked back at the Oxalaia and flashed their teeth.
The smell of blood wafted through the air as the wind picked up. The dying shrieks of the Allosaurus were heard by everything within a half a mile. The fight was on.
All at once, all hell broke loose and Isla Nublar was a war zone. There wasn't a square mile that predators weren't trying to tear each other's throats out. Swarms of Comsognathus fearlessly attacked anything and everything they came across. The Spinosaur population attacked anything and everything that came within spitting distance of the lakes and rivers. The Charcarodontosaur and Allosaur populations attacked anything that moved, and the Tyrannosaur population became more aggressive than usual.
Miles south of the Allosaurs and Oxalaia, a Utahraptor is running like a bat out of hell. A Gigantosaurus was eating from a carcass when something dug into his side. He reared up and looked at his side. He saw a Utahraptor clawing at his side. He shook the Utahraptor off and turned to face it. He lunged for the Utahraptor, but his smaller opponent sidestepped with ease.
Meanwhile, in the north, near the original Tyrannosaur paddock, a pair of Torvosaurus have an Albertosaurus trapped. The Tyrannosaur has his back to the ledge that Explorer #004 had been pushed down 50 years before. This portion of the island hadn't been worked on before Jurassic World failed, and when he looked down, he saw the rotted out remains of #004, only some pieces of frame and tire remaining after being exposed to the elements. The Albertosaurus called for help, but it appeared hopeless; he was trapped, his attackers were almost twice his size, and they were closing the gap by the second.
In the east, a Carnotaurus had picked the wrong fight. He attacked a group of Compsognathus, expecting an easy meal. Bad choice. The alpha Compsognathus screeched the attack order, and within seconds, seventy or more Compies were attacking the Carnotaurus. Within minutes, the Carnotaurus carcass was picked clean, leaving behind a skeleton with nothing more than some blood dripping off it.
In the west, a Suchomimus was battling a Gorgosaurus. The Suchomimus lashed out with his claws, and the Gorgosaurus sidestepped. The Gorgosaurus lunged before the Suchomimus had time to recover. He slammed his jaws shut with such speed and ferocity, the Suchomimus didn't have time to blink before his neck was crushed. The Suchomimus dropped with a thud, and the Gorgosaurus walked off in search of another fight.
Back in the South, the Gigantosaurus and Utahraptor are going all out. The Gigantosaurus had bitten off his opponent's arm, but that was the only hit he managed. The Utahraptor was doing a good job on weakening the Gigantosaurus. He made several large cuts, and he exposed some of his opponent's ribcage. The Giganotsaurus was getting tired, and he was in extreme pain. He felt something was off, and he knew he had to get out of there. He turned to run, and he tripped on a rock. He hit the ground hard, and broke several ribs, a foot, a knee, both arms, and his lower jaw. He rolled onto his side as the presence of something large came closer and sent chills down his spine, and he could only watch as the Utahraptor, who was focused on the Giganotosaurus, lunged for him, but was caught mid leap by something. Something massive.
Back where the battle began, the Allosaurus pack, now four strong, didn't have the Oxalaia cornered anymore, but they were still relentless in their attacks. The Oxalaia was rather surprised the pack, originally eight strong, was still attacking him. He fought as hard as he could, and even though he wasn't cornered, he was still near the edge. He knew it was dangerous, but so far, this cliff was his best friend, the bodies of three Allosaurus now littering the area below. The alpha Allosaurus ordered a group charge, and the four survivors all charged the Oxalaia. The Oxalaia held on, and he managed to hold them in one spot. The Allosaurus pack didn't give up, the Oxalaia was a few feet from the edge, and all five predators failed to notice the oncoming threat. The Tarbosaurus was running full tilt when he plowed into the group. The five all fell to their deaths in the river below, and the Tarbosaurus stood up, shook off the slight pain, and walked off in search of another fight.
The Compy swarm was heading towards the south of the island, and they were near where the Giganotosaurus and Utahraptor had been fighting, and when they arrived at the scene, they saw part of the Utahraptor, and the remains of the Giganotosaurus. The Gigantosaurus's skull was crushed, his throat was ripped out, his guts were spilled everywhere, and a large tooth was lodged in his neck. It was a gruesome scene, and the swarm pressed on, sensing something nearby to kill.
Back in the north, the Albertosaurus is getting ready to try and save his hide. The Torvosaurs are within twenty feet, and it's do or die. The Albertosaurus could feel the adrenaline pumping, and everything seemed to go into slow motion. The Albertosaurus, with a sudden burst of speed, charged for the gap between the Torvosaurus pair, and they both slowed down and stopped as they looked at the Albertosaurus. He was standing next to the fallen remains of the Tyrannosaur paddock restroom, and he was flashing his teeth. The Torvosaurus pair roared at the Albertosaurus, but the Albertosaurus remained calm. He was confident, holding his head high, almost cocky. The Torvosaurus pair wasn't sure why, but they heard the leaves rustle behind the Albertosaurus.
Two Spinosaurs are standing on either side of a river. They are staring at each other, but neither making a move. The have no intentions to attack each other right now. The two Spinosaurs, despite looking completely different, are in fact the same species; Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus. One is standing on its two hind legs, tall and powerful, it looks like a force to be reckoned with. The other, standing on all fours, has much smaller hind legs, but larger forelimbs. It's no pushover either. More than anything, they were curious. They both knew they were the same species, but they had no clue why they were so different. They both gave up trying to figure that out, nodded, and went their own separate ways.
The bipedal Spinosaurus heard some thrashing, a crunch, a thud, and everything went silent. He turned around, and he saw the other Spinosaur's tail on the ground, and then he looked above it, and he was looking something dead in the eye. It's eyes seemed to glow red. The other predator simply snarled, and then walked away. The Spinosaurus saw nothing more than shadow of the predator as it left the area. The Spinosaurus felt chills run down his spine as he backed away, not losing sight of the area the predator was last seen.
Meanwhile, not far away, a Tyrannotitan was looking for a fight. He smelled blood, and he walked towards the scent. Before he reached it though, he encountered the Spinosaurus. It was unaware of his presence, and he was going to take advantage. He stood still, and when the Spinosaurus was within twenty yards, he charged. He bit his larger target's neck and started shaking. The Spinosaurus roared in pain and surprise, and then shook the Tyrannotitan off. The Tyrannotitan stepped back, and the Spinosaurus growled as he turned to face his smaller opponent. The Tyrannotitan looked at the Spinosaurus with fear in his eyes, and the Spinosaurus flashed his teeth. The Tyrannotitan was too scared to move, and the Spinosaurus flexed his fingers before he slashed at the Tyrannotitan. The impact knocked the Tyrannotitan to the ground, and there was no way he was getting up. The Spinosaurus glared at his half dead opponent, and then left.
The Torvosaurus pair watched as two Albertosaurus stepped through the brush and to the alpha's side, followed by two more. The Torvosaurus pair saw that they were outnumbered, but not outmuscled. The Torvosaurs still had the raw, physical strength advantage, and they intended to use it. The Albertosaurus alpha assessed the situation, and he looked at the Albertosaurus to his left, his mate, the alpha female. She nodded. The alpha male looked at the male to his right, the alpha female looked to the males on her left, and they growled and gestured to the Torvosaurus pair. The three males all charged. They were trained to protect the alphas at all cost. The pack used to be six strong, but the deceased member sacrificed herself during a battle against a Mapusaurus pack to save the others. The alphas never forgot that, and they truly cared for their pack mates. That's what made them great leaders; they cared for their pack mates, and they were fair. If a member was wounded, said member would get more food, and if a member was sick, said member would always have an alpha within twenty feet for protection.
The Tarbosaurus was having a hard time finding a fight, but when he sensed something, he looked in its direction and started walking towards it. He didn't know, or care, what he was walking towards. It was a living thing, and he was determined to kill it. He was within forty yards of the brush where the creature was, and he could make out the shape of a predator. He wasn't sure what it was, but he charged, aiming for its neck. He had to slow down and stretch to get enough height to bite the creature's neck, but it was too late. The shadow predator, who will be referred to as "Shadow", sensed him and took a step away before swinging his head at the Tarbosaurus. The Tarbosaurus stepped back and shook his head, he was dizzy and disoriented, and then he felt a searing pain in his neck. He looked, and the last thing he saw before everything was black, was a two fingered hand. Maybe it was three though. He couldn't tell, everything was a blur and spinning, then nothing. This was Shadow's fourth kill. All silent, all quick.
The Spinosaurus was walking when he heard something. He quickly went to investigate, and what he saw was nothing short of mind blowing. He saw five Albertosaurus and two Torvosaurus squaring off. One Albertosaurus had a cut on her back, but it didn't seem to effect her.
The alpha male and female looked at each other and nodded. The female was fine, but the male was still concerned. They roared for their pack mates to attack, and they fell back while the males distracted the Torvosaurs. The alpha male took a look at his mate's back, licked the wound, and there was no reaction whatsoever from the female. He took that as a good thing, nodded to her, and they joined the assault. The male bumped two of the males and gestured to the larger Torvosaurus. The males nodded, flashed their teeth and growled as they turned to face the Torvosaurus. The female did the same with the remaining male, and gestured to the smaller Torvosaurus. Same reaction.
Shadow was walking to the north. He sensed something up there, and he was interested. He sensed something was near him as well, and he stopped and looked around. He saw the Compsognathus swarm, and they all saw him. He simply looked at them for a minute, and then continued his trek. The swarm followed him, but they didn't dare attack. They had a sense of respect and admiration for Shadow, and Shadow had a peculiar sense of respect for them; he didn't necessarily like them, but he was impressed by them, their fearlessness and resiliency in battle being nothing short of unnatural.
The alpha female Albertosaurus walked around the smaller Torvosaurus, and the male she took with her attacked. The Torvosaurus managed to shake the Albertosaurus off, and he lunged for the female. The female dodged with ease, and she took the opportunity to get a solid neck shot in. She charged, took a quick bite, and then kicked his neck, winding the Torvosaurus and getting her out of harm's way. The Torvosaurus stood back up to his normal height, and he looked at the two Albertosaurus and roared. He was hit from the side, and he looked at his attacker. It was another Albertosaurus, but before he could react, the other Torvosaurus lunged. The Albertosaurus jumped off, and the larger Torvosaurus bit his back. The Torvosaurus roared in pain, and he snapped at his larger partner.
The Albertosaurus pack backed off and watched the Torvosaurs fight each other. The smaller Torvosaurus bit the other's neck, and the larger one shoved him into a tree. The smaller Torvosaurus growled as the larger Torvosaurus stepped back. The smaller Torvosaurus stepped toward the larger Torvosaurus, and both were standing next to the ledge when the Albertosaurus pack felt the ground vibrating. The pack hid, the Spinosaurus crouched, and the Torvosaurs didn't notice. The Torvosaurs were still looking each other in the eye and growling when the larger one was hit with the force of a freight train. He didn't touch the ground until his head hit a few feet away from #004.
The smaller Torvosaurus was suddenly wide eyed and terrified as Shadow turned and looked at him. The Torvosaurus had never seen anything like Shadow. Shadow was jet black, his blood red eyes almost glowed, he had a Crimson red stripe running from the tip of his snout to the tip of his tail, his claws and teeth were icy white and glinted in the dying sunlight, and he was massive. He was comparable in size to Rexy, maybe larger.
The Spinosaurus charged into the clearing, and Shadow rolled his eyes the direction it was coming from. The Spinosaurus was within twenty yards, and he had no clue just how much trouble he was in. He got even closer, and Shadow lunged shoulder first towards the Spinosaurus. The Spinosaurus stumbled back and coughed up blood as he looked at Shadow. Shadow flashed his teeth at the Spinosaurus, and the Torvosaurus lunged. Shadow saw it from the corner of his eye, and he smacked the Torvosaurus with his head. The Torvosaurus stumbled a bit, and when he regained his balance, Shadow was already there. Shadow bit his head and didn't let go. The Torvosaurus tried to drop to the ground to make Shadow lose his grip or balance, but it only made the situation worse. Shadow tightened his grip, and pretty soon, the only audible sound was the sound of splintering bone. The Torvosaurus shrieked, but it was cut off abruptly. Shadow let go, and he turned around.
The swarm arrived, and they were behind the Spinosaurus. Shadow looked at the Spinosaurus, and then he saw the swarm. He almost grinned as he nodded at the alpha Compsognathus. Shadow backed off, and the attack was silent. The entire swarm started nipping away at the Spinosaurus's legs. Some of them climbed up and started biting his sail, neck and head. The Spinosaurus roared and tried shaking the Compsognathus swarm off, but every time he shook one off, two or three more took its place.
Shadow stood in the tree line, amused by what he was watching. He heard a branch snap, and he looked in that direction. The Albertosaurus pack was no more than ten feet away from him, and they all stood still, heads up, eyes wide with fear, almost shaking. Shadow nodded at them, showing he had no intentions to harm them, and then turned back to watching the swarm.
It had been two minutes, and the Spinosaurus was still alive. Most of the skin from his neck, back and legs was removed, and the swarm was quickly working their way deeper into his flesh. The Spinosaurus collapsed from exhaustion and blood loss, but he could feel every bite, scratch and kick as the swarm climbed onto him. Within a few seconds, almost every member of the swarm had climbed onto him, and the weight of the sheer numbers was beginning to suffocate him. He wanted nothing more than for the excruciating pain to end, and with a swift bite to the, Shadow ended it.
The swarm looked at Shadow, and Shadow turned and walked away, back south. The Albertosaurus pack had fled west, and the swarm, after eating their fill, went back east. Shadow roared in victory as he left, and his roar was unlike anything that had ever been heard before. His roar exceeded the volume of a jumbo jet at take off and exceeded the fear factor of Rexy's roar. It was more than a scream from another world. It was from another place in time in another universe. It was a roar that will not be duplicated by another individual animal, or even by a computer. It was a roar, unique to Shadow and Shadow alone.
Shadow, was a Tyrannosaurus Rex. He wasn't an ordinary Tyrannosaurus though. He had some genetic alterations. He was Maserani's backup plan. Rexy was intimidating and powerful, but even she wouldn't have lasted too long against Shadow. Why Shadow was created, and why he wasn't used, however, is another story, that will be saved for another day.
Winner.......... Shadow

So the T-Rex won. Does that matter? It shouldn't matter who wins. What counts is the writing, not the result. Say what you wish, I don't care, I enjoyed writing this fight, so that's what counts for me.

MemberAllosaurusDec-27-2014 4:11 PMNice fight! :) I was really surpried to find out Shadow was a T. rex. I assumed it was a hybrid deadlier than the D. rex. I can't wait to find out where Shadow came from!
