BEGIN!
It’s a cold winter night on the island. A snowstorm is plowing through a small cliff region overlooking a lake. A small group of Antarctopelta is making their way to a cave for shelter. However, something is staring at them in the distance...
A large male Alaskan Troodon snarls at the group. The creature slowly walks towards the group as an Edmontosaurus herd joins them. Another Alaskan Troodon walks towards the group, but a large shadow appears over them. The creature steps on a pine branch, alerting the Troodons. A large Cryolophosaurus stares at them, growling. The Cryolophosaurus snaps its jaws down on one of the Troodon’s tails. It screeches in pain and surprise as the Cryolophosaurus drags it away. The other Troodon leaps onto the Cryolophosaurus’s side. The larger carnivore roars in pain and lets go of the other Troodon. Both individuals run off.
About a half a mile away, a Gorgosaurus pair is hunting a Pachyrhinosaurus herd. One juvenile strays away from the herd, and the pair attack. The creature squeals in alarm as the carnivores run at it. A large female charges the pair and hits one. It falls into the snow, desperately trying to defend itself from the angry herbivore. Eventually, the pair escapes, but the female attacked by the Pachyrhinosaurus is too injured to hunt. She roars at the male, and he goes off to hunt an Edmontosaurus herd he smells.
The Gorgosaurus stalks the Edmontosaurus herd. As it’s up to its knees in the snow when stalking the group, a large male Cryolophosaurus, who failed in hunting a pair of large Troodon, thinks the creature is smaller. The crested creature walks up to the tyrannosaur before pouncing.
The Gorgosaurus shrieks in pain and surprise, alarming the Edmontosaurus herd. They run off, and the Cryolophosaurus continues to attack the Gorgosaurus before it rolls over, crushing the Cryolophosaurus. The creature slashes the Gorgosaurus as it tries to get up. Eventually, the larger creature rolls back over. The Cryolophosaurus is on its knees before the Gorgosaurus jumps onto him. The Cryolophosaurus shrieks in surprise, and begins kicking the Gorgosaurus. One foot lands right on the tyrannosaur’s chest, forcing the creature to the ground. The Cryolophosaurus gets up and bites the Gorgosaurus’s neck. He shakes the tyrannosaur around a bit before dropping it and walking off.
The Cryolophosaurus feels a sharp pain in his left calf and sees the Gorgosaurus biting it. He roars in frustration and shakes the creature off. The Gorgosaurus lunges up and bites the Cryolophosaurus’s left thigh. The Cryolophosaurus shrieks in pain and kicks the Gorgosaurus with his right foot. The three claws land on the creature’s neck, forcing it to let go. Both creatures stare at each other and the Cryolophosaurus notices that the Gorgosaurus is a bit bigger than him. The creatures growl at each other and the Cryolophosaurus notices the cliff. He roars and charges the larger carnivore. He succeeds in pushing it near the cliff edge, and then the Gorgosaurus sees the lake. He takes a few steps back, and both carnivores charge.
The carnivores collide and begin pushing and slashing each other. Eventually, the Gorgosaurus grabs the Cryolophosaurus by the neck and throws him near the edge. As the Gorgosaurus stalks in to push him off, the Cryolophosaurus bites the Gorgosaurus’s left knee and begins pulling him. The Gorgosaurus growls at the Cryolophosaurus and kicks his face with his right foot. He lets go of the creature’s knee and roars in pain. As he slips off of the edge, the Cryolophosaurus lunges up and grabs the Gorgosaurus by the neck. Both creatures fall off of the edge onto the lake ice below.
Both dinosaurs fall through the ice and try to swim out of the large hole. They splash around and break more ice as they slowly drown. Eventually, both creatures make it onto the ice. They stare at each other for a few seconds before walking in separate directions towards their own territories.
Winner: Tie
The cold and ice wore out these carnivores before they could kill each other.
