MemberCompsognathusNov-23-2014 1:12 PMYes, i'm aware these aren't dinosaurs but lizards and snakes have been around just as long if not longer.
So, i thought since we didn't have this thread yet...why not?
I'll start:
Albino checkered garter snake "ozzy"( sideways picture is sideways)
Emerine/red stripe leopard gecko "snickers"
Ball python "Spike"
I suck at taking pictures...
Anyways, have any unique/exotic pets? post 'em down below!

MemberTyrannosaurus RexNov-23-2014 1:57 PMCARNOSAUR - Oh, they're darling! You're so very luck to have such beautiful pets! As for me, the rarest reptile I've ever owned was a Chinese Water Dragon named Hector. He passed away three years ago - but I loved him greatly and he was such a doll! Here's an image of the type of reptile he was:

Community ExecutiveMemberCompsognathusNov-23-2014 2:42 PMI know you guys love your pets, but some animals are not meant to be pets, Id encorage you guys to do not take wild animals to lock them in a human house never again, if is possible.
..While some wild pets have been bred in captivity, many exotic animals are plucked directly from their native habitats. The stress of being violently removed from their homes causes some animals to die before they ever reach a private residence. The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) reports that infant animals are the most desirable and earn dealers the largest profits. Poachers will often kill the protective mother first so that it's easier to capture the young...

Community ExecutiveMemberCompsognathusNov-23-2014 3:13 PMVery few animals these days are imported wild caught animals, which typically don't do well in captivity----
Its clear they are meant to be free in the nature and not locked in a house with humans, as i said yes you love your pets, but you have to realize what we see everyday here in my country and truts me is not a FEW, they are a lot and breaks my hearth see each shipment that police confiscated, so mainly Im trying to make you guys to understand the big picture of it, Its not good take animals from the nature, they have a place there wehre they are and not at homes with humans, I know you understand that; so is about to dont buy an exotic animal nevermore, even if the 100% of them were raised in captivity, still is not the enviroment be locked in a cage made of glass.
Is a thought, to Reflect for next time.
As for the wild trade it is a huge problem here and literally is killing some populations (humans and animals incluided) not mention of the horrible and disgusting torture the animals have to take.
I have pictures of it, not from internet- if you are curious about it carno-

MemberCompsognathusNov-23-2014 3:23 PMDon't post them. And I know all about the black market and illegal animal trade. I am the last person you have to say that to. I live in Florida and I see and hear of this quite often.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexNov-23-2014 5:02 PM**AL** - I completely agree with your sentiment. Don't worry; I've never been the keeper of an animal that was part of questionable trade. You have my word. :)
