Alan Grant is my favorite character of the series largely due to Sam Neill's performance. He carries such gravitas with him in that role. Even though Grant was sort of an idiot in Jurassic Park III, Neill still made up for it by staying entertaining and lovable.
One can hope.

ANUPAMME - I would greatly enjoy a Grant cameo within the film! Other than that, I doubt Grant will show up extensively. It's nice to hope, regardless! :)

Dinoboy22, Other than a couple of canceled TV shows what else has he been doing lately? Whether he wants to be known as Alan Grant forever or not is moot when you're an actor that just wants work.
Besides the legacy has already been instilled-- Audiences will recognize him as Alan Grant long after his time.
