Stegosaurus
Stegosaurus was a large herbivore that lived in the United States and Portugal during the Late Jurassic period. This individual is 13 feet tall, 26 feet long, and 3 tons.
Saurophaganax
Saurophaganax was a large carnivore that lived in the United States during the Late Jurassic period. This individual is 14 feet tall, 40 feet long, and 4.5 tons.
BEGIN!
A Stegosaurus herd is peacefully browsing in their field. They have lived there for a while, and they were joined by a Camptosaurus group. The two can peacefully coexist, with the Camptosaurus acting as lookouts, and the Stegosaurus protecting the group. However, there’s a threat lurking nearby, and it’s currently unnoticed.
Soon, the creature walks into a thick group of plants. It makes some noise, and the herbivores look in that direction. The creature stalks towards the distracted group, and strikes.
It ambushes a Camptosaurus and knocks it to the ground. As the Camptosaurus squeals in surprise, the group sees a Saurophaganax attacking the herbivore. The carnivore looks up and growls. As a Stegosaurus approaches it, the Saurophaganax gets up and roars. The Camptosaurus gets up and runs off with the rest of the group, and the Stegosaurus that stayed behind flushes blood into his plates. The Saurophaganax is slightly intimidated, and backs off a bit. The Stegosaurus bellows at the carnivore, and then the hunter strikes.
The Saurophaganax roars and runs at the Stegosaurus. He leaps up onto the herbivores side, and the Stegosaurus bellows in pain and surprise. Eventually, he shakes off the carnivore, and it backs off a bit. The Stegosaurus bellows and the Saurophaganax hisses. The Stegosaurus charges and the Saurophaganax gets out of the way, and runs for the Stegosaurus’s neck. However, the Stegosaurus sees it coming and slams the Saurophaganax’s left thigh with his thagomizer. The carnivore roars in pain, and limps away a bit.
The Stegosaurus is happy that his attacker is retreating, and goes to rejoin his herd. He got a few wounds from the Saurophaganax leaping on his side, but none of the wounds are too major. Little does the herd know, the battle isn’t over…
* * * * *
Once the herd is back to grazing, the Saurophaganax continues to stalk the herd. He approaches the male he wounded, and leaps onto his side. The Stegosaurus roars in pain and surprise as the Saurophaganax digs into his skin. However, the leader of the herd notices what’s happening, and runs in to help.
The leader slams his thagomizer into the Saurophaganx’s spine, and the carnivore roars in pain. As the creature falls off of the Stegosaurus, both herbivores take turns slamming the Saurophaganax with their thagomizers as the carnivore roars in pain. Eventually, the Saurophaganax gives one last roar, and falls to the ground as blood pours out of his puncture wounds.
The Stegosaurus pair makes it back alive, and neither is terribly injured. The Saurophaganax is dead, and the attacked Stegosaurus watches as smaller carnivores feast off of the large carnivore’s carcass.
Winner: Stegosaurus
His size, herd help, and thagomizer helped him defeat his attacker.

MemberAllosaurusOct-22-2014 5:42 PMSorry if it's really short or not the best fight. I didn't have much ideas and not a lot of time to write it.

MemberCompsognathusOct-22-2014 7:25 PMGood fight, I was routing for Stegosaurus, and near the end I thought Saurophaganax was going to win, but no. But both are really cool dinosaurs.
There is no such thing as a pure predator. A meat-eater is eit
