MemberAllosaurusOct-11-2014 3:57 PMLet's meet our contestants:
Deinonychus
Deinonychus was a small carnivore that lived in the United States during the Early Cretaceous period. These individals are 4-4.5 feet tall, 10-11.5 feet long, and 1,800 pounds.
Utahraptor
Utahraptor was a medium carnivore that lived in the United States during the Early Cretaceous period. These individuals are 6.5 feet tall, 22 feet tall, and 1.2 tons.
BEGIN!
A pair of Deinonychus is chasing a Pteranodon up a coastal volcano after it stole their two eggs. The Pteranodon sets down the eggs, lands, and hisses at his pursuers. The raptors screech, and run at the Pteranodon. As it flies away, the two follow it. The Pteranodon turns around, but then the ground starts to shake. It turns again and flies at the pair. Before the Pteranodon can attack them, a shot of magma bursts out of the volcano, giving the Pteranodon third-degree burns all over his body. The scalded creature falls into the crater with one last screech of pain. The Deinonychus run to get the eggs, but they are met by a pair of Utahraptors.
The Utahraptors hiss, and start biting and slashing the Deinonychus pair. They roar in distress, hoping they will be heard. However, it’s hopeless as the pair of Utahraptors mercilessly attacks them. As the male Utahraptor snaps one of the Deinonychus neck, and the female Utahraptor is ready to kill the other Dienonychus. The smaller raptor closes his eyes, and accepts death.
The blow never comes. The Dienonychus opens his eyes and sees his two pack mates attacking the Utahraptor. She struggles to attack them as they bite and slash her sides, tail, and neck, but soon the male runs in and grabs one of the Deinonychus by the neck. He pulls it off, and tosses it aside. The other Deinonychus runs up and leaps onto the male Utahraptor. It slashes and bites him, until he shakes the smaller creature off. The wounded male Deinonychus that the female almost killed runs up and leaps up onto the female’s neck. He slashes and bites it viciously, as she roars in pain. After that, the Deinonychus leaps down and starts battling the male.
The Deinonychus that the male tossed aside leaps up onto the female and slashes her sides and neck. Eventually, she falls to her knees, and another Deinonychus runs up. As both begin to finish her off, the ground shakes again. Some magma shoots out of the volcano crater, along with a burning fragment of the Pternodon’s skull. As the female Utahraptor falls to the ground, the male roars in grief and anger, and mindlessly attacks the pair. He grabs one, and starts slashing it before pushing it to the ground. He deeply cuts the creature’s neck, killing it, as the other two begin to attack him. The ground shakes harder, and magma starts to ooze out of the crater.
The raptors fail to notice the danger as they brutally bite and slash each other. As one Deinonychus leaps at the Utahraptor, a shot of magma shoots in between the pair, burning the Dienonychus’s head, and sending it tumbling down the side of the volcano, and into the palm trees a few hundred feet below it. The Utahraptor is stunned by the kill, and looks at the other Deinonychus, frozen with fear as the magma begins to cover its feet. The ground shakes violently, and the Utahraptor is knocked to the ground. Suddenly, magma bursts through the crater, severely burning the remaining Deinonychus and burning off the tip of the Utahraptor’s tail.
As the ground continues to shake violently, more magma bursts out, and it starts to swallow the Utahraptor. As the creature roars in severe pain, the ground gives one last, extremely violent, shake, and magma rapidly bursts out of the crater, complelely engulfing the Deinonychus, and sending the Utahraptor down the side of the mountian with the flow of lava. As the near-dead Utahraptor remembers his ferocity in battle, avenging his dead mate, he seemingly grins before he is buried in lava.
Winner: Tie!
Tachnically, the Utahraptors won, but since the volcano eruption wiped put the last Dienonychus (which the Utahraptor could've easily killed) and the Utahraptor, it's a tie.

When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade. Tell life I don't want you're damn lemons, and then squeeze them into life's eyes!
