MemberTyrannosaurus RexSep-25-2014 3:46 PMWelcome to the forums.
Anyway, the movie needs kids so that there's someone who gets into the worst situations possible, and manage to escape by pure chance. Why? Because it's not like a JP to kill a kid, or woman. That's actually something I'm in favour with, but I'd have gladly made an exception in the case of Amanda from JP3.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexSep-25-2014 4:15 PMWell, some scenes. I personally don't find screaming children "fun".

Jurassic Park movies aren't Jurassic Park movies without children that become horrified and fearing for the lives, but they cannot die, so they simply live in terror...

MemberTyrannosaurus RexSep-25-2014 5:07 PMWell, as it stands, I like you. I try to like everyone. It's when people get on my nerves that I can't stand them. It just so happens that small children get on my nerves extremely fast.
These forums have folks of many different ages. I personally am 15 and I'm actually one of the older members here on JW. I'm not sure how old you are, but I'm going to assume rather young now based on your previous comment, but if you don't want to volunteer that information, that's fine.

MemberAllosaurusSep-25-2014 7:38 PMMystique, no need to hate younger folks. users like Sci-Fi King are younger than you me, Rex Fan, Carno, S-Rex, most of the others and he happnens to be the most mature of us at times.
For all future reference, I am 14 but will turn 15 in 2 months from now. A LOT of regulars are born in the (great, awesome, and epic) year of 1999, just so you know.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexSep-26-2014 4:16 AMI know 401. I'm saying that little kids tend to get on my nerves. Not all little kids, just most. I know SFKing is younger than pretty much everyone, and I like him. He's never gotten on my nerves, so give me one good reason why I wouldn't like him.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexSep-26-2014 9:11 PMDAREN64 - Welcome to the forums! I personally believe that the inclusion of children within the film is designed to give younger audience members the chance to relate with the movie. As for my age, I'm 26! :)

MemberCompsognathusOct-01-2014 5:04 AMAgreed and i am 27. at 15 ur a kid! So dont moan at other kids at 15 there is nothing more annoying than mouthy teens.
With out the marketing being aimed at kids it wouldnt be the sucess it is. Hense y myself and (something real) are into it. We were kids like urselves when these movies oringinally came out.

AdminTyrannosaurus RexOct-05-2014 12:54 PMI think fans of the franchise need to also remember that Jurassic Park is fairly diverse in demographic appeal. Younger audiences love dinosaurs and it's good for them to have characters to relate to on screen who are in the thick of these adventures.
Which I like about these movies. It keeps them from being too serious, which the books skewed too close to, and leaves it open to a wide audience for whole families to enjoy. As cool as the dinosaur attacks are one of the key components to Jurassic Park is a sense of awe and wonder. Everyone should have the chance to enjoy that.
