Giganotosaurus
The individual in this battle is a seven ton male. He's a sauropod slayer, but he's never fought anything much smaller than himself.
Abelisaurus
The individual today is a two ton male. He's experienced, he's confident in his abilities, but he has a tendency to pick the wrong fights.
Deinonychus
Today, it's a trio of Deinonychus. A band of brothers they're referred to as, mostly because that's what they are, three brothers. The smaller two are two hundred fifty pounds, but the alpha is three hundred pounds. All three will put their lives on the line for each other, and all three are successful, with or without the pack.
Begin!
A Dilophosaurus is eating from a carcass. The carcass is almost gone, but the Dilophosaurus is picking at the last edible bits. He bit one of the bones and it snapped, and he failed to sense the oncoming danger. The Dilophosaurus didn't even know there was another predator around when he was killed. His killer was a large male Abelisaurus. The Abelisaurus started eating from his fresh kill, eating quickly, knowing he was outside his own territory.
The trio sensed something was off, and they went to investigate. They quickly found the Abelisaurus, and he was still eating the Dilophosaurus, but not much was left. They all looked at each other, and they nodded. They stepped into the clearing and hissed at the Abelisaurus. The Abelisaurus looked up and roared back at them, but that was a mistake he would quickly regret. The Deinonychus trio looked at him and all three mock charged. They knew this territory belonged to one of the island's super predators, and they didn't want to be around when he arrived. The Abelisaurus knew they wanted him to jump back and fall off the cliff.
The Abelisaurus looked at the three predators that were standing before him. The middle one was the largest. The Abelisaurus charged at the alpha, but the moment he did, the two smaller ones were on him, slashing his sides. He tried to shake them off, but they held on. Just as he was about to shake one off, the alpha kicked his head. The Abelisaurus roared in pain as blood gushed out his lower jaw, but he kept fighting. The alpha screeched, and the two jumped off and stood at their leader's side.
The Abelisaurus was about to charge again, but some branches snapping got everything's attention. The trio scattered, and the Abelisaurus backed off. The Deinonychus trio didn't hesitate to attack him, so whatever was coming that made them scatter without a second thought must be huge. The Abelisaurus watched with fear in his eyes as the largest predator he had ever seen stepped into the clearing. The Giganotosaurus roared a challenge to the Abelisaurus. There was no escape for the Abelisaur as his much larger challenger charged. Just as the Giganotosaurus's jaws were about to slam shut on his back, the Giganotosaurus roared in pain.
The Abelisaurus looked up as the Deinonychus trio jumped off the Allosaur's neck and screeched a challenge to him. The Giganotosaurus roared back, angry that the trio dared attack him. The alpha Deinonychus attacked the Giganotosaurus, running and slashing his legs. The Giganotosaurus turned and stepped back, and he managed to catch the Deinonychus with his hand. The alpha rolled a few feet, and he looked up as the Giganotosaurus was leaning down to kill him. The alpha closed his eyes, accepting what was about to happen. He took a deep breath and waited, but the killing bite never came.
The Abelisaurus charged, slamming into the Giganotosaurus's head, knocking him sideways. The Giganotosaurus regained his balance and roared at the Abelisaurus. He knew it was him against the other four now, and he would have to take them out quickly. He may own the territory, but he's seen the Deinonychus trio in action, and he has respect, and even a slight fear of them.
The trio and Abelisaurus stood shoulder to shoulder, ready to fight to the death. The Giganotosaurus flashed his teeth, angry that they aren't visibly scared of him. He charged, and the other four scattered. One of the Deinonychus jumped at him, but he swung his head towards him and sent him over the cliff. He was quickly caught before he hit the ground, but he didn't survive either way. He was caught by a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
The alpha and remaining follower attacked, latching onto his neck and not letting go. The Giganotosaurus tried to get them off, but their grip was too strong. The Abelisaurus was about to charge, but the Giganotosaurus's anger scared him. He backed off, and the Giganotosaurus hit a tree, crushing the smaller Deinonychus. The alpha screeched in anger and started slashing harder, and the Giganotosaurus lowered his head. The Abelisaurus charged, and he bit the Giganotosaurus's leg.
The Giganotosaurus roared in pain as his leg was fractured from the force, and the Deinonychus jumped off. The Giganotosaurus limped back, and the Abelisaurus charged. The Deinonychus was about to attack, but the Giganotosaurus knocked the Abelisaurus back. The Deinonychus didn't have time to react as the Abelisaur stepped on him. The Gigantosaurus limped towards the Abelisaurus, and the Abelisaurus looked where he had last seen the alpha. He saw the Deinonychus on the ground, and he looked up in time to see the inside of his opponent's mouth. The Giganotosaurus closed his mouth and decapitated the Abelisaurus. He then pushed the body off the cliff, and it landed between two other duelling titans.
Winner......... Gigantosaurus
The largest and strongest by a long shot, the Giganotosaurus won the battle before it started.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexSep-22-2014 6:39 PMMYSTIQUE - Wow! That was an incredibly neat battle! I enjoyed how you set up the next battle by having the corpse of the Abelisaurus land between two other contenders; very fun! Thank you so very much for sharing this with us! :)
