Something Real
MemberTyrannosaurus RexSep-15-2014 2:41 PMHello there. My twin sister recently introduced me to a relatively new computer game known as Five Nights at Freddy's. It's a simple strategic survival horror romp that is, well, terrifying to say the least. You can have a look at it on Youtube. However, if your'e easily disquieted or upset, I HIGHLY suggest that you watch the videos during the middle of the day and NOT right before you go to bed. I made that mistake and couldn't sleep a wink - I couldn't even reach for my stuffed animals to comfort me!
With all of the aforementioned information in place, I was wondering what it would be like to have a game based upon the premise of Five Nights at Freddy's which utilizes a Jurassic Park theme. That, I believe, could be quite fun - and unsettling! As always, your thoughts and conjecture conerning this topic are most welcome, even if you chosee to keep them to yourself. :)

MemberCompsognathusSep-15-2014 2:54 PMThe Novel-Carnotaurus and the human-voice-imitating Troodons we came up with a while ago would fit perfectly into that kind of game.
Keep in mind that many people have died for their beliefs; it's actually quite common. The real courage is in living and suffering for what you believe in. -Brom-

MemberAllosaurusSep-15-2014 2:58 PMOh God... I would never be able to play that. (I'm scared pretty easily.) However, facing raptors, pteranodons, and other creatures, with a D. Rex as the final boss would be interesting.

MemberCompsognathusSep-15-2014 3:28 PMI'm not Terribly Great at horror games.
Remember, I said great, Not scared.
Convienently, My sister showed me this aswell some time ago, Scared the hell out of me.
But, I would indeedly love to see an Indie game like it but Jurassic world themed.
Perhaps maybe a Talk with DinoSteve is a good idea? No?
I mean, he does, (I'D IMAGINE) Have the tools to do such a thing, Or the know how on how to get this set up...

MemberCompsognathusSep-15-2014 3:39 PMThe game isn't about boses or figthing Scifi, its about you becoming a gaurd at a hunted burger shop and have to survive 5 nigths, you can check screen monitors if something is close to you and lock the doors in time, but the monitors, ligthhs and doors take electricity that can ran out

MemberTyrannosaurus RexSep-15-2014 3:42 PMI can tell you guys this much: if the game I've suggested ever did become a reality, It's a safe bet I wouldn't be playing it! After seeing Five Nights at Freddy's, I've decided that I might have a mild panic attack halfway into the game! That being said, I'd have fun watching somebody else get the blazes scared out of them! :)

MemberTyrannosaurus RexSep-15-2014 3:46 PMCATZILLA - Yes, it's utterly bloody TERRIFYING! I could barely stand to watch my sister play! The way those animatronic nightmares rove about and attempt to wear your nerves down before leaping in to grab you is horrific! The fact that you're stuck in the bloody guard shack and only have a set amount of power to keep yourself from being gobbled-up by one of those mechanical terrors only adds to the feeling that you're in for a VERY long and upsetting night! :)

MemberTyrannosaurus RexSep-15-2014 3:50 PMX_PADEN_X - Oh! I'm sorry it scared you, sweeite! :( It bugged the bloody daylights out of me! I still don't think I'll be sleeping well tonight! Even so, it's good to be reminded that your heart functions properly every now and again! :)

MemberCompsognathusSep-15-2014 3:59 PMDefinitely sounds like an interesting idea. I can get scared pretty easily, but might look up Five Nights at Freddies, just tomorrow, or this weekend when I wake up, when I don't get so scared.

MemberAllosaurusSep-15-2014 4:01 PMWell I have to say the idea does sound very interesting, but it would be a shame for dinosaurs to be depicted as just horrifying monsters, not beautiful, fierce, and majestic creatures.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexSep-15-2014 4:12 PMRAPTOR -401 - Even the most majestic and/or beautiful creatures can be terrifying if they're trying to eat you! I can guarantee you that I'd be utterly terrified if a Carnotaurus was hunting after me - doing something that comes quite naturally to it. Sometimes it's the most commonplace behaviors (such as hunting for prey) that can be the most disquieting. :)

MemberCompsognathusSep-15-2014 4:12 PMif i was actually in that position(could you imagin if you were?) i would probably try to brall with him. It would probably end up like the fight with the realy big nazi by the plane, meaining it would probably be just five minutes of me getting my ass kicked, but it would be intertaining!

MemberAllosaurusSep-15-2014 4:25 PMSomething Real- Well still, I mean sure people like us would understand but the general public would probably just get another thought of the idea that they were just violent creatures. Granted, if raptors were about to eat me they would be horrifying, but I would still have to accept that it was still a beautiful predator.

401, if I was about to get attacked by a Velociraptor, I'd try to grab its head and twist it's head off. Then admire it's Beuaty, after it's dead.
