MemberCompsognathusSep-14-2014 6:27 AMOk this is a list of the theropods with the strongest to weakest arms.
Theriozeniasaurus:This is for UCMP. they have the longest arms for their body mass. They have 3 foot claws in there fingers. They used them to pull down branches but of course to slice and dice their enemies..
Dromeasaurids: they have the second longest arms for their body size. And they need their arms to hang onto prey animals and also the arms are strong because they used in often in fighting.
Spinosaurids: same as dromeasarurids but knot ad long. Their arms are strong becsuse they have to take down prey and lift up fish.
Megalossurid/Torvosaurid: they have very powerful arms for slowing down their prey. And these armsccould be used in combat and could damage their rivals with their arms. Their arms were quite heavil muscled.
Carchaadontosaurids: same as torvosaurids but since they aren't as bulky as the megslosaurids their arms were not as powerful. But no the less were still deadly weapons.
Allosaurid: same as above, but they relyed more on thee arms then other theropods. The arms have big strongly curved claws that could deal a lot of damage to their prey and opponents.
Dilophosaurids: they had long powerful arms but since they were fairly lightly built there arms were not as powerful as other theropods. But they were still very useful in hunting and combat since their bites were fairly week.
Tyrranosaurids: they are quite bulky and powerful animals, but heir arms..not so much. their arms are somewhat weak and notfit for combat though they dont have the smallest or weakest arms.
Abeliosaurids: back words facing, outurned, and small with stuby claw. Thee arms were utterly useless.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexSep-14-2014 9:00 AMNice list, fairly agreeable, though I'd have put Allosaurs right behind Spinosaurs.

MemberCompsognathusSep-14-2014 9:11 AMI put torvosaurids over allosaurus because they are bulkier. But allosaurids have strong arms to.

MemberCompsognathusSep-14-2014 11:51 AMAren't you forgetting about a certain very special theropod with the second longest arms of any theropod and 1 metre claws? Anyway, except for that I agree with almost everything. The Therizinosaurus should really be Nr.1.

MemberCompsognathusSep-14-2014 12:02 PMDid someone bold the theropod family names?
UCMP i only listed true theropods.

MemberCompsognathusSep-14-2014 12:19 PMA Therizinosaurus is just as much of a theropod as a T.rex is.

MemberCompsognathusSep-14-2014 1:13 PMWell it probably ate insects and besides, Triceratops probably scavenged from time to time and nobody says that it wasn't a true Marginocephalia.

MemberCompsognathusSep-14-2014 1:47 PMIf you are willing to define insects as meat then he was 100% carnivore imo.

MemberCompsognathusSep-15-2014 4:03 AMHaha, this is could cause a flamewar? Please...
The list is agreeable, but letting Therizinosaurs outside of this claiming they weren't true theropods because they didn't eat meat is pure nonsese...
Not telling to edit the list or anything... but when somebody makes a very relevant point like that admit it rather than saying this could bring to a flamewar...

MemberCompsognathusSep-15-2014 9:08 AMI see the list has been modified. I'm sorry if this all went kinda out of control, I definitely wasn't planning to start a flame war.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexSep-15-2014 9:37 AMUCMP 118742 - There's nothing for which to apologize, sweetie! Heated debates are to be expected! :)

MemberCompsognathusSep-15-2014 9:41 AMYou have nothing to worry about, you were right :)
I see the term of flameware is becoming over-used. I wouldn't call this a flameware at all, it would rather be a heated debate, as SomethingReal stated.
And this is a forum, not only debates are normal, but they should also be encouraged, as they would bring so much more to the community (of course if the members are mature enough to handle it)

MemberCompsognathusSep-15-2014 12:50 PMI would hardly call this a heated debate and I would certainly not call this a flame war.
