They ruled the world for 160 million years, they ranged in all shapes in sizes from the tiny Compsognathus to the massive Aregntinosaurus. In this series we will be exploring the prehistoric Americas.
It's 90 million year old Patigonia. A Buitreraptor is looking through a nest, each egg is the size of a soccer ball.
The Buitreraptor picks up a egg, the raptor stops cold when the parents arrive. The raptor drops the egg and flees. The parents are Argentinosaurus. Aregentinosaurus are the biggest dinosaurs to ever live. They messure over 100 feet long and 80 tons.
The Aregentinosaurus are migrating at this time of year but, before they leave they must wait until their eggs hatch. Once they hatch the Aregentinosaurus will leave them. A few miles away a predator is hunting, it's Giganotosaurus.
Giganotosaurus are Carcharadontosarids, there the biggest of their kind. They are also the biggest land predator to ever live in the Southern Hemisphere. They messure 45 feet in length and weigh 8 tons. The Giganotosaurus, is following a scent trail, the Giganotosarus has finaly found what it has been looking for a ingunadon.
The Giganotosaurus takes cover in a series of trees and waits. The Ingunodont starts to eat from the vegititon were Giganotosaurus is hiding. The a Giganotosaurus leaps out but, the Ingunadon has faster reflexes then the Giganotosarus expects. The Ingunadon stands up on its hind legs and runs. The Giganotosaurus gives chase, unlike most predators it's size Giganotosaurus are fast runners.
They approach speeds of 32 miles per hour. The Giganotosaurus cathed up fast, it grabs the Ingunadon by the back of the neck and throws it to the ground. A few miles away another predator is hunting, a ekrixinatosaurus. They are the biggest of their kind as well.
The ekrixinatosaurus is having trouble finding food, as sauropods are to large and the Ingunadonts are rare lately. The ekrixinatosaurus has been forced to scvange. The ekrixinatosaurus has found a Oxalaia. Oxalaia are spinosaurs they are big. They weigh 4 tons and are 40 feet long.
The ekrixinatosaurus normally wouldn't bother attacking a Oxalaia but, starvation has forced it to fight. The ekrixinatosaurus slams into the Oxalaia. The Spinosaur is sent into a river. The Ekrixinatosaurus looks in the river, there's no sight of the Oxalaia the ekrixinatosaurus starts to leave when the Oxalaia attacks. The Oxalaia latches onto the ekrixinatosaurus leg. The ekrixinatosaurus kicks out with its other leg, the Oxalaia lets go and comes back up to land.
The ekrixinatosaurus head buts the Oxalaia on its flank. The Oxalaia enters the river and swims away, the ekrixinatosaurus needs food otherwise it'll starve to death. It's been a few days, the Aregentinosaurus eggs have hatched, the sauropods are leaving soon so, the predators must take as many down as they can. A Giganotosaurus pack is following the herd, the pack is 8 strong.
The pack is ready to hunt, the alpha gives the attack order and they attack, they have chosen a small female as their target. The pack runs inbetween her and the herd. The Giganotosaurus circle the Aregentinosaurus. The Giganotosaurus start making mock lunges, a Giganotosaurus grabs onto one of the Aregentinosaurus front legs. The Argentinosaurus stands up, the Giganotosaurus falls off.mtge fall breaks the Giganotosaurus spine. The Giganotosaurus can't take on such a giant, even though they are huge and have powerful jaws, Aregentinosaurus is far to large.
What they can do, is follow the Saurpod and take chunks of flesh off until, it dies from blood loss or sickness. Gigianotosaurus sometimes have to wait weeks before they can eat their next meal but, this time with a dead pack member they don't have to.
Soon, due to climate change these giants will die out.
P.S I know Giga and Argentino didn't live at the same time but, as the new saurpod discovered in Argentina is unnamed I decided to use Aregentinosaurus instead.

When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade. Tell life I don't want you're damn lemons, and then squeeze them into life's eyes!
