Demon the Carnotaurus Chapter 7

22 years later:

     Demon awoke to the sound of a helicopter flying over. He could see it soar above the tree line. He was now a full grown Carnotaurus at 13 feet tall and about 30 feet long. It's been like this for about a few months. An operation was taking place in the north of the island. Helicopters, boats, and trucks where taking over the island. Sometimes the Helicopters lifted a dinosaur up and took it towards the construction, and they where never seen again. It's been getting harder to find food with all the disappearing Dino's. A perimeter fence around the operation blocked Demon and the other dinosaurs. Whenever he was curious he camouflaged himself and took a walk over.

     It was still early and he was still waking up. He made his way over to a small pond. The only other dinosaurs their where a single stegosaurus at the other side of the pond and a few archaeopteryx and microraptor in the trees. Demon bent over and got a drink. Then, he camouflaged himself and snuck up on a microraptor and had it for breakfast. That's when another helicopter came out of nowhere. The stegosaurus at the other side of the pond fell to the ground and a large net fell on top. It was yanked from the ground and lifted over the tree tops. A few minutes later things where quite again.

    Demon decided to see what happened to the stegosaurus. He walked over to the perimeter fence. He saw a bunch of crew members on a Maintence path and a few construction vehicles following. He followed the fence a bit more when saw the Tyrannosaurus. He was sleeping in a paddock. Demon wondered how such a massive and powerful dinosaur was captured by such puny beings. He kept wondering for a few more hours when he came upon a large tank. A few workers strung an orca whale to a crane. The crane operator hung the orca carcass over the tank. Nothing happened. Then, Demon saw a dark shadow moving fast in the tank and then a Mosasaur jumped in the air grabbed the orca and slammed back into the tank like a whale. Demon had never seen such a large marine animal. All this fascinated Demon.

    Night came and Demon settled down near the perimeter fence. He watched helicopters fly by. Bright lights shone everywhere. He heard a loud engine passing and saw a big truck approach, a Mercedes 6 by 6. A few men scrambled out and shone flashlights into the jungle. They hit Demon and his camouflage ability whore off. "Their!" shouted a man and guns fired. Demon ran as fast as his legs could take him. Luckily he made it out without being hit. He could still hear the men shouting and then a helicopter flew over head. Demon continued running when he saw a cave. He hid under low hanging branches and ran into the nearby cave. He felt relieved. Soon after the Helicopter disappeared and the jungle fell silent again. He was safe, for now.
