Dynamosaurus Imperiosus/ Raptorexxx 700
MemberCompsognathusAug-25-2014 12:51 PMWell, Well, Well......Well. I have been lately experiencing a strange but common phenomenon that I personally find Disturbing...Boredom. So i have decided to take to the internet (as usual) and decided to continue my random therioes debate series. And today I have decided to focus on the most underestimated and most awesome creature ( not only dinosaurs ) ever....Torvosaurus Gurneyi / Edmarka Rex.
Torvosaurus Gurneyi / Edmarka
Length: 32-41 ft ( 9.6-12 m )
Weight: 3.4-5.7 tons
Height: 10-12 ft ( 3-4 m )
We'll start with the broadest of my theories... Edmarka Rex is the same as Torvosaurus Gurneyi, why is that you ask? because of something very, very simple because they have the same bone structure, we only have 1 piece of Edmarka and it's a ribcage. In 1992 Torvosaurus wasn't the most popular dinosaur in the world so an amateur plaeontologist probably thought it was something new because he wasn't aware of Torvosaurus's existence. leading me to the assumption that Edmarka is nothing more than a big mistake.
Moving on, The bone that we do possess of Edmarka AKA Torvosaurus Gurneyi, is larger than either that of Gurneyi and Tanneri. So it's larger but not by much, leaving it in the 35-42 foot range. You Can disagree on that as much as you like and i'm going to make this short and pleasant, It weighs that much because of...you guessed it exponential weight gain according to length increase ( you can read all about that in Episode 1 ). Anyway i did that using Megalosaurus weight estimates between 1.5-3 tons. And if you think that megalosaurs are similar to Allosaurs...they're not in terms of build....they're closer To Tyrannosaurs. Yeah, they're that big.
My last and MOST IMPORTANT theory...Bite Force, everyone knows that Torvo had a strong bite but very few people know HOW strong it was. well based on Torvo's bone, muscle, and tooth structure I can assure you that it has the second strongest bite of any land animal ever...The estimation is.....(Drums).....12,800-16,200 PSI of force!!! WAAAW! you didn't expect it to be that strong did you, well according to paleontologists calculations they are 12,800 PSI.... but they forgot something....Edmarka.
"But 1 or 2 meters isn't gonna add 4 tons of force for sure!....Your're dumb" Said Muldoon
but let me ask you this if Edmarka rex's weight would grow exponentially wouldn't that include muscle?
"ohh, but you're dumb anyways" Said Muldoon...Again.
"Would you please wait a minute"
"Walks away for 20 seconds...."
"No, What are you doing...NOO Not that NO, NOAOOOAOOOOOOO"
"DON't YOU EVER CALL ME DUMB"
"OKAY, JUST STOP PLEASE"
sorry, had to...umm...go and get....umm...Hydrated, yes hydrated. So That is my theory that Torvosaurus was The King of the Jurassic period.
BONUS:
My idea of the awesome and amazing jurassic fauna of North America and Europe (Because Portugal and North America we're only separted by a small and VERY shallow sea full of islands, some theorise that dinosaurs could migrate between them)
Carnivores:
Torvosaurus
Saurophaganax
Allosaurus/Epanterias
Ceratosaurus
Lourinhanosaurus
Ornitholetes
Herbivores:
Diplodocus/Supersaurus/Seismosaurus
Brachiosaurus
Lourinhasaurus
Lusotitan
Dacentrurus
Stegosaurus
camptosaurus
Camarasaurus
Barosaurus
That was It, Hope you like and Debate it in the comments. Thanks :)
