Herrerasaurus
Herrerasaurus was a small carnivore that lived in Northwestern Argentina during the Late Triassic. This individual is 4.5 feet tall, 9 feet long, and 100 pounds.
Coelophysis
Coelophysis was a small carnivore that lived in the Southwestern United States during the Late Triassic. These individuals are 4 feet tall, 10 feet long, and 85 pounds.
BEGIN!
A pair of Coelophysis carefully guard their nest. They watch the eggs, occasionally checking the temperature. Soon, they hear something in the distance. They look around, but see nothing. The pair continues to look after their nest. After a while, the male wanders off to look for food. Before he gets very far, he hears his mate screech in pain. He runs to the nest site, and finds a large male Herrerasaurus attacking his mate.
The male Coelophysis hisses, and the Herrerasaurus looks at him. It growls, and the Ceolophysis charges. He leaps into the air and lands on the Herrerasaurus’s back. The Herrerasaurus snarls and roars, but the Coelophysis continues to hang on. Eventually, the Herrerasaurus is able to shake the Coelophysis off. The two look at each other and growl. The Herrerasaurus charges, but something knocks him to the ground. He looks and sees the female Coelophysis.
The male and female Coelophysis attack the Herrerasaurus, but soon, he escapes. He runs to the nest and quickly snatches an egg. He runs off with it, and the Coelophysis pair pursues him. The male nips at his side while the female continues to chase. Soon, the female Coelophysis catches up and leaps onto the Herrerasaurus. He crashes to the ground with the Coelophysis on top of him. He releases the egg, and the male runs after it. The Herrerasaurus bites the Coelophysis’s ankle and shakes it. Soon, the male’s ankle is fractured, and he falls to the ground. The female runs to help her mate, and the Herrerasaurus takes the egg. He runs off, successful.
The Herrerasaurus is now far away from the Coelophysis site. He sets down the egg, but before he can eat the food on the inside, he is knocked onto the ground. He looks, and sees the female Coelophysis, now furious. The female slashes at the Herrerasaurus’s head and neck. Soon, the Herrerasaurus bites onto the Coelophysis’s hand. He screeches in pain and attempts to free herself. Then, leaves three deep scrapes in the Herrerasaurus’s neck, causing him to let go. The Ceolophysis lightly scrapes the Herrerasaurus, and soon he rolls over. He gets up, and stares at the Herrerasaurus. She also stands up, and the two Triassic carnivores stare at each other.
They charge, and the Coelophysis runs to the side. The Herrerasaurus looks in the direction that the Coelophysis went, but he doesn’t see her. Soon, he feels a sharp pain in his neck. Then, he’s knocked to the ground. He roars in pain as his neck is torn by the Coelophysis. He then stares at her, begging for mercy. The Coelophysis hisses and the Herrerasaurus looks into the open jaws of the Ceolophysis. He realizes that he made a terrible mistake.

MemberCompsognathusAug-16-2014 10:20 PMthis individual does seem small, as Herrerasaurus is capable of reaching a length of about 3 metres and weighed about 180 kg(400 lbs) Big for an early dinosaur. Was rooting for it, but i liked the tempo of this fight. Good job
