DDD: Fight 1- Daspletosaurus vs. Gorgosaurus

Daspletosaurus

Daspletosaurus was a large carnivore that lived in Alberta, Canada during the Late Cretaceous. This individual is 10 feet tall, 28 feet long, and 3.2 tons.

Gorgosaurus

Gorgosaurus was a large carnivore that lived in Alberta, Canada in the Late Cretaceous. This individual is 12 feet tall, 30 feet long, and 3 tons.

BEGIN!

     A lone Daspletosaurus is hunting in his forest territory on an uncharted island. He hasn’t eaten in two days, and he is hungry. Soon, he spots a small herd of Corythosaurus. He stealthily moves toward them. Soon, he gets close enough to strike. He lunges out to attack, but another head bites down on the Corythosaurus. The Daspletosaurus watches as a large Gorgosaurus attacks what would be his kill. The Daspletosaurus roars and the Gorgosaurus looks up. Both creatures roar, and a fight is about to begin.

     The Daspletosaurus attempt to bite the Gorgosaurus, but it’s too fast and it escapes. However, the Daspletosaurus’s jaws bite down on the Gorgosaurus’s tail. The Gorgosaurus roars in pain as the Daspletosaurus’s serrated teeth damage her tail. She attempts to free herself, but the Daspletosaurus’s grip it too strong. However, soon, the Daspletosaurus lets go, and the Gorgosaurus runs off. Her tail is badly damaged, and she won’t let the Daspletosaurus steal her kill.

     The Daspletosaurus eats the Corythosaurus carcass, but soon, he feels a sharp pain in his neck. He roars in pain, and violently shakes his head. Soon, he frees himself, but his neck is badly damaged. He snarls, and snaps his jaws at the Gorgosaurus. She sidesteps, and the Daspletosaurus’s jaws clamp down on air. Then, the Gorgosaurus leaps onto the Daspletosaurus’s side, and stats biting his back. He roars in shock and pain, and shakes off his attacker. Both carnivores stare at each other, planning their next attacks.

     The Daspletosaurus mock charges, and the Gorgosaurus sidesteps. He mock charges again, and the Gorgosaurus takes a step back and roars. The Daspletosaurus mock charges, and the Gorgosaurus doesn’t move. Finally, the Daspletosaurus charges, and bites down on the Gorgosaurus’s neck. The Gorgosaurus roars in pain, and pulls herself backwards. She roars at the Daspletosaurus, and charges.

     The Daspletosaurus tries to fend her off, but she’s too agile. She sidesteps the Gorgosaurus’s attacks, and leaps onto his side again. She slashes at him, and bites his shoulders. He roars in shock, and shakes her off. Now, the Daspletosaurus is heavily wounded, but this Corythosaurus carcass may be the only chance of survival he has. He roars, and runs at the Gorgosaurus’s side. The Gorgosaurus tries the run off, but the Gorgosaurus lands a good bite on her hip area. She roars in pain, and attempts to wiggle free. Eventually, she does, and runs off into the woods. The Daspletosaurus roars in victory, and eats his meal.

     Soon, he feels a sharp pain in his neck. He roars in pain as the Gorgosaurus’s teeth cut through his flesh. The Gorgosaurus soon rips her mouth off of the Gorgosaurus, and pushes him to the ground. She kicks him, and bites his neck one last time. Soon, the Daspletosaurus stops moving, and the Gorgosaurus roars in victory. Now, she has two meals.
