Fight:
Current day North Africa, 97 million years ago a huge seasonal drought had swept over the lands parching the lake beds and evaporating the rivers and streams. This put two of the largest carnivores ever to walk this earth in direct competition.
A female carcharodontosaurus and her three young hatchlings were feasting on their recently killed ouranosaurs; the female carcha tore of a slab and gave it to her eager young who attacked it viscously from all corners. While she gulped down huge bright red pieces and was about to move on to the liver, the ground trembled. Liver in her mouth, she scanned the forest opening but saw nothing and swallowed it. However peering through the foliage was an 8 ton male spinosaurus staring innately on the three young hatchlings…
The male spino who was sizing up the female was ready; as he appeared from the brush he flushed his sail a bright red and roared. The carcha snapped her head and put her 7 ton robust body in front of her young and glared her bloody snout, crimson red splattering on the near brush. The spino tried circling, lunging and anything he could to get the young ones quickly and run; he didn’t want a fight. However the carcha was stubborn, orbiting her own young and snapping her shark like teeth at the spino. Both were on edge, but the carcha made the first move she lunged, her mouth agape but it was too short and the spino landed two consecutive blows with his claws shattering her face and tearing her neck open. The female reeled in pain hitting a tree, her bones shuddering and she collapsed.
The spino roared in victory and went for the hatchlings, they tried running for their unconscious mom but they couldn’t wake her up. They faced the huge best head on. The spino smiled, and bent down to take one up. However before his conical teeth could open up the tasty morsels, he roared in pain as his left ankle was brutally cut open by the now very awake and angry carcha. He shook of the jaws and limped away backing up against a pine tree; he roared and bared his blood stained claws daring for the badly wounded female to come any closer. Again the carcha charged but this time she side step and ripped and tore at his arms. The spino shrieked in pain as his once mighty limb had become something of less use than a branch. He swung blindly at the air hoping to connect with something in a frantic panic. They once again squared off, the carcha furiously bleeding while spino’s arm hung limp at his side and his ankle was badly wounded. Both knew they had to finish this fast.
The spino made the first move by snapping at the carcha, who easily dodged it. Then on the counter attack the carcha lunged, but to her horror the spino saw this and using his body weight slammed the carcha to the ground. The carcha shuddering and again seemingly unconscious as the spino limped over and bent down. But to the spino’s horrific surprise the carcha thrashed its head at the last moment breaking of the teeth of the spino and shattering its lower jaw. While the spino was reeling back the carcha swung his head directly on to the spino’s neck and clamped down its jaws down hard. Shrieking in agony the spino then swung his arm directly into the neck of the carcha who let go and shrieked in pain. The spino who thought he had time to rest against a tree, looked at the rushing carcha but it was too late. The carcha ran with her mouth agape and slammed the spino in to a nearby tree repeatedly. After the third time the spino’s sail gave a sickening “CRACK” as it broke and he collapsed paralyzed onto a stump, and was impaled. He let out his final gasp as his body slowly made its way down the stump, painting it bright red. The carcha stagger over leaning on a tree to its squawking young who had started attacking the dead foe. The worn out, but still standing, carcha took in a sore, dry breath and let out a shrill roar then went over and started feasting on the dead spino, her snout once again covered in her intruder’s blood.
Winner: Carchadonosarurus
Why: It was more robust and had a slight better bite, but most importantly it was an angry mother! If they were two males i would say 65/35 for carcha!
