Dahalokely

Length: 12 ft long

height: 6 Ft tall

weight: 1000 pounds

The importance of Dahalokely (which was announced to the world in 2013) is that its type specimen lived 90 million years ago, shaving about 20 million years off the far end of Madagascar's almost 100-million-year fossil gap.

Yeah I thought so, it definitely has the build of a Abelisaur. :)

It is an abelisaur that lived in Africa during the mid to late Cretaceous period. It was discovered to be a new species in 2013. I did a report when it was first found. Here is an article: Link

I don't think we can definatively say whether or not its an abelisaur, but I can understand why it is classified as such.

ALLOTITAN - Oh, what a very neat animal! I'd never before heard of this creature until I read this post - very compelling! I'm curious as to whether or not it was a true abelisaur; the overall profile seems right, but there seems to be too little information to support a definitive conclusion. In any event, that you ever so much for sharing this with us! :)

Very interesting, at this point in time I doubt that we can definitely conclude if it was an Abelisaur or not, but seeing as how Madagascar was pretty much Abelisaurs-only back then I wouldn't be too surprised.

Keep in mind that many people have died for their beliefs; it's actually quite common. The real courage is in living and suffering for what you believe in. -Brom-
