Jurassic World raptor evolution story part 5, its feeding time

Henry was showing Malcom around the Park, Because they had to wait til night to talk to Matri again. Malcom spotted an enclosure, and he and Henry went to it. It was called T rex Kingdom, and Malcom spotted the sign about feeding every two hours. He noticed it said may be disturbing for small children, and said sarcastically "The sign says that it may be disturbing for small children to see a T. rex ripping meat to shreds, I wonder why." They walked into the viewing area and checked when the feeding times were. Malcom checked his watch, and the time said 16:57. The next feeding time was at 17:00. When the feeding time began, Henry could see that there were people tying a cow carcase to a zipwire type thing. A jeep then connected to the zipwire type thing, by hooking it with a hook. Then the jeep drove off, to the back of the enclosure. Malcom could see that the T. rex was not in the enclosure, and was probably kept out until they were ready. Suddenly, everyone left the enclosure, and Malcom watched the jeep drive off. He heard a gate being opened, and he saw the meat coming slowly into view, with the T. rex running after it. It made bellowing roars as it ran, and as it reached the veiwing area, the zipwire slowed down a little bit. The T. rex bit into the carcass, and the zipwire pulled, to give the T. rex a chance to use his strengh. There was a lot of pulling, until Malcom heard a snap, and watched the carcass being gripped in the T. rexes jaws. The T. rex had snapped the rope that was tied around the cow, which was meant to snap eventually. He watched it eat the carcass, and frequently he heard a crack as it bit into bone. This was a bit like hunting, but Malcom knew it was still like being fed.

Henry and Malcom went to talk to Matri, and were eager to ask her more questions. They went to the viewing area, and Matri was there, waiting. "I have something to tell you!" said Matri, excitedly. "What is it?" asked Henry. Matri was tingling with excitement by now. "I layed some eggs!" answered Matri. "Thats good news, but didn't you already have kids this year?" asked Henry. "Yes, but me and my mate decided to mate again this year" said Matri. "Okay, well I hope you can manage with looking after kids and eggs" said Henry. Malcom decided to ask a question, so he asked "Do you dream?". "Whats dream?" asked Matri. "Its a dream, and its when you go to sleep and imagine you are doing something" answered Malcom. "Oh, okay, Yes I do dream" answered Matri. "Could my mate come and talk to you?" asked Matri. "Yes, I don't see any problem with him talking to us" answered Henry. Matri made a short shreech and a slightly longer series of clicks, before her mate came out of the undergrowth. "Hi I am Matris mate" exclaimed Matris mate. "Is there anything you specificly want to say?" asked Malcom. "I do have one thing I would like to say. What is me and Matris future. Are we always going to be in this place, or can we ever leave? I don't want to stay here until I die, I want to have a chance to live among people. Its not right to keep clever creatures locked up, without any chance of interaction with the outside world. You know Its true." said Matris mate. Malcom thought about it, and he had a feeling of sadness inside him. He couldn't bear to imagine Matri and her mate, cooped up on Isla Nublar, without any chance to use their language skills with more than two people. They were nice raptors, who just wanted to leave this place, and He didn't know how it could work. The world wasn't ready for a second dominant species, but Matri shouldn't have to stay here. "He looked at Matris mate, and sadly said, "I don't know, I'm sorry, but I really don't know what your future is". Malcom checked his watch, and said "I need to go to bed now, we'll talk tommorow". "Okay" said Matris mate, and Henry and Malcom left. Matri and her mate went to another part of the exhibit. As the two raptors left, they were unaware they had been watched for the whole conversation.

The raptor who was attracted to Matris mate, had been listening. The bushes behind her moved, and another raptor walked up to her. "I don't know why your so bothered about listening to her talking to those people" said the raptor who had walked up to her. "I am certain that I have a plan to escape" said the raptor who fancies Matris mate. "I think I will give myself a name that Henry and Malcom can say. I know, my name will be Zena." said Zena. "I can come up with a name too, in fact I know what I could be called. I could be called Colin, at least its a name that is used by people" said Colin, who was Zenas younger brother."I don't care what you call yourself, but my plan will get us out so we can get revenge on the people who did this to us" exclaimed Zena. "But their not hurting us in any way. They might have kept us here, but people learn from their mistakes" said Colin. Zena didn't care, all she wanted was revenge on everyone, no matter who they are.

Henry and Malcom were walking away from the raptor enclosure, and Malcom was saddend by the truth. "I thought you were only staying for a day?" said Henry. "No I have decided to stay for the full amount of time that VIP badge is good for" answered Malcom. Malcom went to his hotel room, and sat awake for a good half an hour. It just wasn't right that Matri was going to have to stay here all his life, and as he thought this, he shed a small tear.
