MemberCompsognathusJul-18-2014 4:28 PMThunder boomed in the distance.
I never did like storms, especially not ones as violent as the one that was currently beating down on the tropical rainforest that surrounded me and my assistant. We were nearly done taking inventory on the parks small, flying animals. The only ones that remained were the sino's. I had never liked them, their moteled brown-orange
coloring made them blend in too well with the trees upon which they perched, and they would stay as completely still as possible until you got right up next to them, at which point they would suddenly jump out at you and hide somewhere else. The cherry on top though, was their bite. Sure, it wouldn't shatter bones, or cleave flesh, but it had a powerful hallucinogenic venom. There was only one recorded incident of the biting a handler though, so I wasn't that concerned.
As I kept walking, I kept getting more and more uneasy. We were deep in their territory at this point, and they were undoubtedly watching us. I pulled out my flashlight and began flashing it through the trees, hoping it would glint off of their eyes. My assistant, Charlie, did the same. We went on, searching for the creatures.
"Where the hell are they?" Muttered Charlie, as he thought aloud.
We stopped then, staring into the rainforest, hoping that we would spot one. The storm however, kept getting worse and worse.
I turned to him, and said: "You head back, I'll stay here and continue searching."
He quickly nodded, not wanting to stay out in the storm any longer and headed back to our jeep. I then sat on a rock, and listened. I heard the jeep drive of, then started counting, a nervous habit of mine. I was cut short of two hundred by a loud shriek. It was a sino, and as I had predicted, they had shied away from the presence of two people. I got up, and walked of in the direction I had heard it come from. As I got nearer, The hairs on the back of my neck began tingling, and I knew I was being watched. I smelled them then, and as lightning crackled above, it illuminated the woods around me. I was surrounded.
The flock of sino's began to hiss, and I heard one ruffle its feathers. I started sweating. These animals, although small, were fully capable of taking down large mammals, and live cattle were a common portion of their diet. They could easily kill me if they wished to. My heartrate began to rise, and I heard a stick crack to my left. I wheeled around and shone my flashlight in its eyes. It hissed then retreated back to the forest. I took in a deep breath, but didn't relax yet. Another one approached me, hissing and spreading its wings. I turned and flashed my light at it too. It also retreated.two came at me from opposite sides then, and I flashed them as well. I started feeling better about my situation.
I started retreating back the way I came, but I heard them following me. I started walking faster, and faster, until I was running through the forest as fast as I could. They were faster though, and easily caught up with me. I spun around, as one of them jumped on me, knocking me to the ground. another dashed in, and nipped my forearm. Then they retreated. I then just laid there, and started to laugh to myself. "This is it, this is where I die." I thought aloud. I suddenly felt feverish. The venom was kicking in. coursing rapidly through my veins. Lightning crackled above, and I jumped up, startled. I heard something to my right, and started to crawl to my feet. A sino hopped out of the brush and shrieked at me, its tongue then grew teeth, and lashed outwards toward me.
The hallucinogenic had taken control of my senses, yet I hadn't realized it.
Another divebombed me, but the hallucinogens made me think it was a giant bat that breathed fire. I continued to run, my attackers pursuing me all the way to a river that crossed through their enclosure. A small dinosaur came at me from the side, and bit my hand, wich then began to melt down to the bone, I plunged it into the water, and screamed. Another jumped out of a tree onto my back. I collapsed from the force of the impact, exhaustion, and blood loss. I blacked out.
When I awoke in the morning, I was laying by a river, covered in mud. The bright mid-day sun shone down on me. I tried to remember what had happened last night, to no avail. I hurt all over. and rubbed my face with my hand. It was covered in blood, and small chunks of flesh had been eaten off of it. I held up my other one, wich was even worse. three of my fingers were missing, leaving me with just my thumb and pointer fingers. I attempted to sit up, but a sharp pain shot through my back, and I felt a warm liquid flowout of an open wound. I tried to call out for help, but all I could manage was a ghastly croak. This got the attention of a nearby creature that I hadn't noticed. It hopped out of the brush and chirped at me. Suddenly, everything that had happened last night came back to me. I scrambled to my feet, ignoring the pain, and kicked the creature across the river. It landed on the other side, and rolled back onto its feet. It glared at me, and hissed before running off into the brush.
I collapsed onto the ground, where I remained until a recovery team came and got me. When I resigned from my role as a jurassic world field vet, no one was surprised.
To my dismay however, leaving the park faculty, and returning to the calm relaxing farmhouse of my childhood, hadn't done anything to lessen my pains. Even today, in my final seconds of life, these beasts still haunt me. I remember a child once remarking that they were not very scary, and at the time, I had agreed with him. Now though, I know better. They are among the scariest creature to have ever walked the earth.
This is why I commit suicide now, to end the pain, and fear that has haunted me since this event. I have had assistance from many people, but it hasn't helped. Now, I seek the final refuge that only death can provide.
Goodbye.

MemberCompsognathusJul-18-2014 7:10 PMI didn't really know how to write a creepypasta honestly, just kinda cranked up the intensity factor in mine. Liked yours a good deal, gonna be hard to beat!
Nature doesn't deceive us; it is we who deceive ourselves.

MemberCompsognathusJul-18-2014 8:24 PMOh, I know a lot about them. (I have a friend who is absolutely obsessed) I just don't think that non-supernatural creatures work well with the genre. I mean, goblins, ghouls, and the slenderman have an element of uncertainty about them. They are unpredictable, and have paranormal abilities that a designed to creep us out. Whereas, a lion or T. rex is an animal. They can be unpredictable, and quite scary, but they don't have those supernatural abilities that make us fear the SCP's. Also, with actual animals, they follow their instincts, and won't attack something unless they have to, whereas Slenderman will actively hunt down humans, and kill them just because he felt like it.
It is because of this that I feel that dinosaurs and creepy pasta don't blend well.

MemberCompsognathusJul-19-2014 12:02 AMPoint made. The most supernatural I think is cool, are werewolves (vampires can suck it) or werebears. That stuff is knida cool. Or I'll watch Fact or Faked Paranormal Files or I'll watch Destination Truth. Both are cool shows on the Scyfy network.
