The Utahraptor is hunting. He claimed the territory of the Acrocanthosaurus as his own, and he is ready to defend it with his life. He hasn't seen the whole area yet, but it is a nice piece of land that the Acrocanthosaurus had rarely ever had to defend.
The Spinosaurus is in the river. He was looking for a better place than his old section of river, and he came across the Acrocanthosaurus skeleton. He looked at it for several minutes, trying to figure out what happened to the dead giant. The only damage to it was two small cuts in the bone where something had been ripped clean out of the eye sockets. The Spinosaurus had an idea on what happened.
The Utahraptor sensed the intruder, and went to check it out. When he got there, he saw the Spinosaurus looking at the skeleton. The Spinosaurus was large, but he was a threat and must be eliminated. While he was distracted, the Utahraptor went around to the Spinosaurus's side and prepared to attack.
The Spinosaurus was still trying to figure out what killed the Acrocanthosaurus when he was hit from the side. He spun around, looking for his attacker. He didn't see anything, but his sail was suddenly being attacked. He looked at his back, and the Utahraptor biting and slashing the middle. Blood was pouring out the wound, and the Spinosaurus went to the river. The Utahraptor jumped to the rock in the middle, and then watched.
The Spinosaurus was moving at a fast pace, and the Utahraptor saw his opponent was significantly better in water than the Acrocanthosaurus. When the Spinosaurus turned around, he was heading straight for the Utahraptor. The Utahraptor had an idea on what the Spinosaurus was going to do, and he jumped to shore. The Spinosaurus didn't see it, and he suddenly rose out if the water and lunged for where the Utahraptor had been standing.
The Utahraptor hissed at the Spinosaurus, and the Spinosaurus roared. The Spinosaurus went back to the riverbank, and the Utahraptor had disappeared. He looked everywhere for the Utahraptor. Everywhere but up. The Spinosaurus heard the leaves above his head rustling, and he looked up in time to see the Utahraptor falling toward him, claws poised to kill.
The Spinosaurus didn't react in time as the Utahraptor drove his claws deep into his snout. The Spinosaurus roared in pain and shook his head, but the Utahraptor was already off him. He saw the Utahraptor disappear into the woods, and he waited for him to come back.
The Utahraptor ran at the Spinosaurus head on. The Spinosaurus didn't expect the attack, and he reared up, prepared to swat the Utahraptor away. The Utahraptor did a small jump and the Spinosaurus swung. He missed, and the Utahraptor jumped again, driving his claws into the Spinosaurus's chest. The Spinosaurus roared in pain and the Utahraptor jumped off. Blood was pouring out the chest wound, and the Utahraptor felt that the end was near.
He ran at the Spinosaurus again. This time, he went for his throat. The Spinosaurus swatted at the Utahraptor again, but this time, he connected. He hit the Utahraptor with the palm of his hand, and the Utahraptor went flying. The Utahraptor hit a tree on the opposite side of the river and dropped to the ground. The Spinosaurus looked at him for a moment. The Utahraptor looked up at the Spinosaurus and hissed.
The Spinosaurus started swimming across the river, and the Utahraptor slowly stood up. A few of his ribs were broken, he had a minor concussion, and he was missing some teeth. The Spinosaurus got to where the Utahraptor was, but he wasn't there. The Spinosaurus looked around, but he didn't see the Utahraptor. The Utahraptor took advantage of his opponent's missing eye, and attacked from the left side. He jumped for his throat and connected, driving his claws deep into the flesh. The Spinosaurus roared in pain, but he was quickly dying. His windpipe was severed, and the Utahraptor was working on his neck vertebrae.
The Spinosaurus struggled to the bitter end, but the Utahraptor held on, and with a final push, ripped the Spinosaurus's throat out. The Spinosaurus dropped, and the Utahraptor landed on his feet next to the body. The Utahraptor ate, and then he lied down to recover.
More agile, strong for his size and more skilled, Utahraptor had a better chance than most would give it credit for.
