Begin!
The Neovenator woke up on the riverbank. She had no idea where she was, but she didn't like it. She looked for her pack mates, but they were nowhere to be seen. Her back hurt from where she was bitten, but it wouldn't slow her down. She looked at the river. It was flowing south. She started heading north, knowing pack mates would be looking for her.
The Titanoceratops is drinking from the same river. He was unaware that the female Neovenator was heading toward him, but he probably wouldn't care if she went past.
The Neovenator was about twenty feet away from the Titanoceratops when they noticed each other. The Neovenator had been too focused on locating her pack to be looking out for danger. They looked at each other, and the Neovenator kept walking. The Titanoceratops stomped on the ground, and the Neovenator stopped. She slowly started to back up and lowered her head. She wasn't looking for a fight.
The Titanoceratops eased up some, and the Neovenator walked past, not breaking eye contact. Her stomach growled. She was hungry, and now the Titanoceratops knew it. He went back to his defensive posture and stomped again. The Neovenator kept going, but she started moving faster. The Titanoceratops charged. The Neovenator sidestepped and roared.
The two males heard the female's roar. She must have been half a mile away from them. They were about to give up when they heard it. They perked up, nodded, and started running.
The Titanoceratops was now between the Neovenator and where she wanted to go, so she had to fight. She growled and flexed her hands. The Titanoceratops snorted and charged again. The Neovenator jumped to the side and then on his side. She figured if he thought she wanted to kill him, then she may as well try. She slashed his flanks and bit his back, leaving deep wounds. The Titanoceratops bucked her off after several minutes, but he had some pretty nasty wounds. The Neovenator looked at his spine for a moment. Some of the bone was exposed, and it was her best shot at winning.
The Neovenator charged, going for his side again. The Titanoceratops turned his head and caught her by the gut. He picked her up and shook his head. The Neovenator was starting to black out when the horns were pulled from her side. None of her vitals were hit, but the Titanoceratops was about to gore her. She looked at him, and she thought she saw something attack him before everything went black.
The males had arrived in time to see the female being shook around, and they attacked without thinking. The alpha went for his neck, while the other male went to finish what the female started. The alpha kicked the Titanoceratops's throat, and the other male was biting his spine. The Titanoceratops managed to get the alpha away by lurching to the side, and the alpha stumbled before tripping.
The Titanoceratops planned to finish the alpha once he shook off the male, but by the time he did, the alpha had disappeared. He turned to look for the second male, but now, all that was left in the clearing was the female. She was on the ground, her eyes were closed, she wasn't moving. He looked around, and suddenly was hit from the left side. Both males attacked his spine, and with a sudden twist, the alpha broke it. The Titanoceratops dropped, but he was still breathing.
The males looked at the Titanoceratops. They saw he was still alive, and they were going to put him out of his misery, but first, they checked on the female. The alpha nudged her gently. Nothing. He licked her face. Nothing. The other male nudged her chest. Her arm started twitching and she started breathing. The males looked at each other, and the female slowly woke up. She looked at them and slowly rolled over. She attempted to stand, but she was too hurt. The males saw this, and they both grabbed a piece of flesh off the Titanoceratops's leg.
Winner......... Neovenator More agile, more intelligent, the males saved the female in the end.

Keep in mind that many people have died for their beliefs; it's actually quite common. The real courage is in living and suffering for what you believe in. -Brom-

MemberCompsognathusJul-15-2014 1:06 PMWas rooting for Titanoceratops, but still it was a good fight. A lot of these seem like utter mismatches, but the outocme is suprising with some of these, and i like that. Good job once again

MemberTyrannosaurus RexJul-15-2014 5:58 PMI thoroughly enjoyed writing RS all together. It was fun doing these fights no one would have otherwise thought of (I'm pretty sure I'm the first to so mismatched fights like these), and it's been fun putting heavyweights against extremely agile creatures. When you read the round 3 starter, you'll see why that was an exceptionally fun fight to write.
