Diabolus Rex size?

Well, this animal, or monster I suppose I could describe it as, was created due to a drop-off in the numbers attending Jurassic World as in this new story the resort has been fully operational for quite some time and this has led to some people becoming "bored" with just dinosaurs, well normal ones at least. I know! How would that be possible!

Well, it is, so in his interview, the director stated that this new attention grabbing attraction is the result of the big guys wanting something bigger, badder, louder and with more teeth! According to Trevorrow, they get what they asked for, but at a price...

I know I'm taking what he said very seriously but do you really think this animal is going to be dwarfing the other carnivores in the park? I think she could quite possibly be bigger but not by a substantial amount, looking at the pictures of her enclosure you can see scratch marks made by an animal that is obviously irritated at being confined, the marks appear to be quite high up, based on the door visible in the picture so taking that into consideration I think we are looking at an animal who is at least as big Tyrannosaurus Rex or perhaps even the spinosaurus in JP 3.

The evidence appears to be there so I hope I'm not too far off! I would love to know your thoughts on our new monsters size as we all eagerly await the release of perhaps the most anticipated film of 2015!

i imagine its going to be around the same size as the spinosaurus or the female rex in the first movie which is the biggest rex in the series so far

I wouldn't be surprised if D-Rex was smaller than Rex. I'm saying this because it has T-Rex DNA, I know, but also Velociraptor DNA. I'd imagine that would cause it to be smaller than one would expect, Torvosaurus size maybe. That's just me though.

You do have a point with that but then confusingly it would suggest otherwise with the height of the scratch marks in the enclosure photos. I suppose we are going to have to wait although I don't think she will be shown until very late into the marketing campaign.

Torvosaurus was fairly tall. About Rex hieght give or take, just not as muscled all around. Also, the Velociraptor DNA would likely give it a more graceful build, kinda like Allosaurus. If it were to rear up, it could easily reach the level where the scratches were if it was Torvo sized.

Yeah, although, I do hope we get something giant, it would be pretty cool to see but it would even better if she was eventually killed by the king, tyrannosaurus!

perhaps the scratch marks are from when it was younger?

I have no doubt Rex is going be involved against the D-Rex. It would be a hell of a fight. A Torvosaurus sized, agile creature that can conceal itself vs the King of Dinosaurs is going to a heck of a battle. Also, you don't release something with the title "Rex Redemption" if Tyrannosaurus doesn't do something awesome.

Speaking of Rex vs D-Rex, I've got a little project I've been working on, should be ready to go after RS is complete.

Dinoboy, what I'm getting at is its unlikely D-Rex is going to be as big Tyrannosaurus because of the Velociraptor DNA. That's just my theory on it though, you're welcome to give your reasoning for it to be bigger than Rex or as big as the original Rex.

I imagine it at the, size of a Carcharadontosaurus. Meaning, it would be longer and taller but not as heavy as, the rex and the reason for that would be the velociraptor DNA.

I imagine D.rex being the size of D.rex.

Meaning as tall, as long and as heavy as a D.rex.

My estimations for Diabolus Rex is 4-11 tons, 40-55 ft long and 15-23 ft tall. I think it might be a little stocky yet agile and will have a Trex foot but with raptor claw

EVAN123 - I've a good feeling the D-Rex will be similar in size to the Female T-Rex from the first Jurassic Park - very large and intimidating! My curiosity is focused on its hands; I'm eager to see if it will have 3-fingered hands that are larger and more dexterous than those of T-Rex! :)

SOMETHING REAL- I'm pretty sure it has large, three clawed and dexterous arms as it is capable of reaching out to the enclosure wall and producing a large scratch mark with three definitive lines. It's visible in the pictures of the enclosure if you would like to have a look!

Yay!!! 500th post!!

I would love it to be same size as trex and spino kinda like a giganotosaurus maybe. Would be sick to see the spino make a cameo, the d rex to kill the spino, and the. THE t rex to then kill the d rex . Two battles and the king reclaims his throne of the franchise :) then spino fans wont be angry cos of a made up dino defeated it, n rex fans get their king back hahaha evryone is happy.

But yhat is just a far fethed thought that id love :) would never happen but how sick would that be to have two battle scenes!

I imagine it being about the size of Allosaurus due to the size of it's pen and the claw marks it left.

I could see it being Allosaurus sized. Perhaps the claw marks being high up aren't due to it's being tall, but its long arms being able to reach that high.
