Looks like this
FIGHT!
The Male Utahraptor ripped off a chunk of flesh from the dead, rotting Styracosaurus. The Male looked over to his mate who was also eating quickly. They hadn’t eaten in a week. Food was scarce. They hadn’t known that when they came in. When they entered this rocky-desert of a canyon, they didn’t know it was deserted. There was no water, no plantation, no shade and most of all no food. There would occasionally be a small lizard, bug or pterosaur flying above. That was all. They were lucky this Styracosaurus had wandered into the canyon and died shortly later, just for them to find it. The worst thing was, there was no shade! It was boiling hot! And to top it off, no water…How were you supposed to keep cool?
This canyon was a unique canyon. This was Deadbone Canyon, named by the Ingen’s scientist. They named it that because rarely anything that went in would come out, if it did it would be sick or die soon after. That would explain all of the bones… Bones literally littered the floor. There were bones of large dinosaurs and small dinosaurs, predator and prey… The Male kept eating. They both did.
Once they had eaten their fill they sat down next to each other. They Male hooted lowly to his mate. She responded in a playful screech. They were going to be parents. Once the time was right, they could start a family-pack. They rubbed there noses against each other. They were about to doze off when they herd a painful moan. They quickly stood up, alarmed. They decided to check it out. Another moan. It echoed in the empty canyon.
The Utahraptor pair watched from a distance. A pack of Deinonychus attacked a poor Edmontosaurus. The Deinonychus attacked swiftly. Whatever they were doing, it was working. They were smart, coordinated pack hunters. They ducked in and out. Slashing, ripping, tearing and biting. The Edmontosaurus roared in pain, slowly bleeding out. The Male Deinonychus’s heads was bright red, the blood blended in. The females looked the same, but their heads were a bright turquoise. There were 4 I total, 2 mated pairs. The Utahraptors couldn’t believe it. Fresh meat! Not dead, rotting old meat, fresh meat. They waited. Watching the smaller raptors every move.
Eventually the Edmontosaurus succumbed to his wounds, and collapse. The Deinonychus darted in, eating quickly. There was a bit of snapping and pushing, but eventually everyone settled and started eating peacefully.
The Female Utahraptor roared at the smaller Deinonychus’s. She and her mate got closer. Both raptors screeched and roared at each other. A male Deinonychus charged and then leaped onto the Male Utahraptor. It bit down on his neck, forcing blood to spill. The larger Utahraptor shook the smaller Deinonychus off. He hit the ground hard. The smaller raptor was stunned from the fall and failed to react. The Male Utahraptor’s huge foot claw slammed down it the fallen opponents face. It pierced right through the eye, killing him instantly. The Utahraptor looked up to see his mate slam one of the female Deinonychus into the hard rocky ground, it too, stunned her. The Female Utahraptor then sliced opened the stunned opponent’s belly with her huge foot claw. Intestines poured out followed by a large pool of blood.
The remaining pair of Deinonychus looked at each other and then retreated…The Utahraptors darted in at the fresh kill. They pulled out intestines and chunks of meat. Once they were done with the herbivore, they would turn to the smaller raptors’ corpses.
The pair of Deinonychus stopped in there tracks and looked back at the larger raptors in the distance. They stole their kill, which had taken hours and burned most there energy and then they killed their pack-mates. They weren’t going to stand for that.
They bolted back to the distracted Utahraptors. The Female leaped at the Male Utahraptor and landed on his back, followed by her mate. They both bit down hard and then used the foot claws to slash at his skin. The Male Utahraptor screamed in pain. The Deinonychus used strategy and teamwork. The Female Utahraptor looked up as her mate collapsed covered in blood, slowly breathing. The pair leaped from the Male’s back to the Female. The Female swung her claws and wiped the Female Deinonychus away, but the Male attacked her face straight after. He bit, clawed and screeched. The Female Deinonychus slowly got up, she ran under the larger raptor and slashed her soft underbelly. The Female Utahraptor collapsed. The pair of Deinonychus looked at each other, knowing they had avenged their pack-mates.
All of a sudden the Male Utahraptor jaws closed down on the Females foot. The Male reacted quickly, he used his foot claw to disembowel the Utahraptor’s neck. Both the Deinonychus began eating. When they were done they would leave, or die trying…
THE END
And the winner is…Deinonychus
Team work, strategy and motiavation is which won it today.
