MemberCompsognathusJun-21-2014 8:09 AMHi, everyone I know i haven't written any discussion for a while now, but i have been a little busy, but to make it up i am going to start posting a story called The Deadly Reality and i will start today by posting the prologue, I hope you like it because i think it is the best story i've written yet.
The Deadly Reality
22 years ago a company named InGen made a miracle that had all of the world stand in awe at what they made. InGen successfully bred the world’s first living, breathing dinosaur, a small carnivorous dinosaur called Deinonychus, but much more dinosaurs were to come. 1 year later in 1993, InGen’s billionaire CEO John Hammond brought 3 experts, his 2 grandchildren, and a lawyer went to review the seemingly “safe” park. One of the most important questions that the leading expert, Dr. Alan Grant asked was “how do you make sure they don’t breed in the wild” they said that they deny them the chromosome that turns them into male, thus making them all female. But we all know that disaster struck when a storm wrecked the paddocks and cut the power to the entire park, allowing the dinosaurs to escape. InGen tried to revive the park 3 years later only to fail again, when John Hammond’s nephew Peter Ludlow took control of the company.
The gene gaps in the first generation of dinosaurs was filled in with frog genes, but later discoveries proved that dinosaurs were more closely related to birds than any other creatures on Earth, so the logical thing to do was to fill the rest of the gaps with bird genes. One day one of the scientists made a fatal mistake, he did not deny a Ceratosaurus its male chromosome. A female Ceratosaurus did in fact mate with the male Ceratosaurus, and I think we can all predict the results. The pair and their chicks eventually went on to make an appearance by wrecking the park laboratory, dismantling hope of building a park for years. In 1997 when Mr. Ludlow launched the revival program it was revealed that InGen owned another larger island where dinosaurs were allowed to roam free in the wild.
Now the world has all but forgotten about the isolated island. The exact coordinates and location of the islands is kept secret by the government. It was deemed extremely dangerous to even the highest ranking military personnel. No one is allowed within 158 miles of the island as InGen has even bred sea reptiles and flying pterosaurs.
Fast-forward to present day, and 13 years have passed since a 2001 accident when a small airplane crashed onto the island, no incident has ever occurred since….until now.
