MemberCompsognathusJun-08-2014 3:01 PMHello.
I really don't feel like doing an opening today, So Yeah. It's been a long time since I've actually posted anything, And I don't really Like the Idea of a "hate" Thread being my first disscussion in a while... But Oh well...
So, Remember how Colin Adressed the Fans about Spoilers, And how its ruining the Movie?
Personally, I think thats a fair amount of B.S. I will respect Colins views, Because Spoilers are Ruining the Moving, However, Not much is being done to stop them, Other then Distasteful words over Social Media.
Now, One of the Biggest Leaks ever, Would have to be the Island Map... The Picture was taken at night, Some how, someone managed to get onto the set. And took pictures.
Sad right? I mean, I looked at the Pictures, Only because I wanted a rough Idea of what was going on.
But, We could've avoided that Leak, If propper Counter Measures were taken... Like Not leaving a Block buster Movie set Unnattened, Or Removing all signs that are apart of "Ebb Tide" I mean, They've covered all the logos, So why not Cover the signs? The Sign was Covered with a tarp, But Really, What is that going to stop other then rain... ?
A lot of these Spoiler could've been avoided. Some were, some weren't.
Now is when I side with Colin.
Spoilers both Help, and Wreck the movie. If Colin was to Drop Little hints here and There, Much like Steven Probably did back during the first Film, Fans would go looking for Spoilers less and Less...
Now D-Rex, I'm not sure how that one was found out... The paddock could've been for anything.
Colin has the right to be mad, His work, Is slowly being ruined by spoilers; However most of these spoilers arguably could've been avoided.
I think, That now everythings Boiled over, and Filming in Hawaii is done... We won't hear another major spoiler for quite some time...

MemberCompsognathusJun-08-2014 3:11 PMhow can this movie have so many spoilers when its a year away from being relesed the godzilla movie producers would quickly bring down any leeks and they didn't reveal any plot until only one month before the movie was realised

MemberCompsognathusJun-08-2014 3:12 PMThey're called spoilers for a reason. I agree little ones here and there like the return to Nublar or who the actors are is one thing. But ones like D-Rex or practically the entire plot are a bit disappointing. I like surprises. The only thing I wanted to know was if T.rex was returning. Other than that, I'm good.

JW Is currently Under production. The reason why Spoilers are harder to keep here, Is because this is an American Franchise.
Godzilla started as an Asian franchise that stretched into the states. The Jurassic Franchise is much bigger, and has a lot more fans then Said Kaiju monster film.
Movie Producers for JW Did not Deny, Nor reveal if the Leaks were true or not. Colin however, Did.
Different Franchises, Different Fans, Different ways of life.

MemberAllosaurusJun-08-2014 7:40 PMPretty much same as Rex Fan. I think it would have been better if I found out while watching the movie about D-Rex.
IT'S TIME TO DU-DU-DU-DU-DUEL!!!

MemberTyrannosaurus RexJun-08-2014 11:33 PMX_PADEN_X - I couldn't agree more with what you've stated. When it comes to spoilers, I absolutiely love being a free-thinking, autonomous being. If I want to see the spoiler, I look straight at it. If I don't want to see the spoiler, I turn my head away from it or ignore it completely. Such a wonderful mechanism! ;)

MemberCompsognathusJun-09-2014 11:23 AM@Something Real- Although I do agree with you, there is one thing you can't avoid. If you enjoy talking on forums such as this, it is impossible to not accidentally hear leaked information. Heck, I think I have heard of half of the leaks through comments.
Personally, I have never had a leak completely ruin a movie. Just as Paden said, in the end, it is the director and his teams responsibility to control what information "leaks" and what doesn't.

MemberCompsognathusJun-10-2014 8:35 AMThese things are very difficult to monitor. When it gets down to it, they are the overenthusiastic fans who somehow gain access to the set/information and leak it to the public. Colin is not blaming the fans as a whole, he's blaming the people who disregarded the wishes of production and leaked info anyway.
