The "Crocodile Mimic"
Length: 11 meters
Height: 3 meters
Weight 3 tons
Era: Early Cretaceous
Suchomimus looks like a crocodile on steroids. It spends the majprity of it's life in the shallow waters of isla Nublar, eating a variety of sharks and rays, and even the occasional crocodile. It has next to no competition, and because of this their numbers have exploded in recent years. They are somewhat social animals, especially when prey is plentiful. There has been as many as thirty of these spinosaurs on one stretch of beach. Suchomimus doesn't tolerate other spinosaurs for some odd reason, and they will even attack a large spinosaur if it intrudes on the Suchomimus' beach.
Allosaurus
The "Strange Lizard"
Length: 8 meters
Weight: 3 tons
Height: 2.6 meters
Era: Jurassic
Allosaurus is a cave dweller. These specialized carnivores lurk in the abundant caves of the northern Crestirian mountain range, ambushing the unfortunate stegosaurs that have themselves adapted to mountainous conditions. The hatchet jaw function of Allosaurus makes a kill more effective, albeit brutal. The animal in question dies of a combination of shock and blood loss.
Here we go..
The Allosaurus staggered wearily up to the pristine lakes edge. Having been exiled from his pack, he now faced inevitable death. Allosaurs were pack animals, and now he had been exiled from the cavernous mountains, he now faced an island of uncertain aspects. He lowered his crested skull to the waters surface, taking in the life sustaining liquid in quick darting sips.
The Suchomimus watched the theropod from behind a large boulder. She had just won this territory after a dispute with a Spinosaurus Marocannus, and now this animal was boldly. Almost arrogantly. She sat on her haunches, watching the Allosaurs every move.
The Allosaurus moved his head away from the water, surveying the little oasis he had stumbled upon almost on accident. The Pterosaurs dove from the air, scooping fish with ease with their array of beaks. Some distance away, the honking of a hadrosaur echoed across the lake. Hypsilophodonts sprang around the grasses like gazelle, almost green blurs with the speed they were moving at.
The Allosaur decided to make the territory his own. He walked up to a large Seqioua tree, and raked his claws down the burly trunk. The chocolate brown bark replaced by the clean white bark underneath. He then walked over to a mound of rotting vegitation and scent marked it. Little did he know, that was the nest of the Suchomimus, fortunately from years past.
The Spinosaur began to follow the allosaur, having seen the bold move on her territory. Keeping upwind from him so he didn't catch her scent, the Spinosaur made her way over to the Allosaurus.
He had returned to the waters edge; The Suchomimus took the oppurtunity. She walked from the trees, roaring at the Allosaur. He turned his crested skull towards the Spinosaur, and when he saw it, turned around. He gave a roaring response, brandishing his lethal hand claws. The Suchomimus shook her head violently side to side, her muscular ridge turning charcoal black.
The Allosaurus began to circle the Spinosaur, his eyes never leaving the nearly foot long fish hooks on its hands. The Suchomimus did not turn, but instead kept her eyes on the predator. She swished her tail angrily, making sure the intruder knew she meant business.
With suprising agility, the Allosaurus attacked. He jumped onto the Suchomimus' side, tearing at the muscular ridge and clawing at her ribcage. She reeled away in pain, yet the predator kept his grip. He bore down on the sail with his hatchet jaw, exposing a small section of spine. The Spinosaur side stepped and shuddered, finally freeing herself from the Allosaurus. He lowered his body to the ground, ready to jump once more. The Spinosaur faced the attacker head on, extending her arms to each side. She cooed at the Allosaur, waiting for the next attack with anticipation.
With a ferocious growl, the Allosaurus leapt at her once more. Only this time, she was ready. She swatted the animal out of the air as he got closer, sending him flying to the ground. She lowered herself to the ground, and rushed at the downed Allosaur from a quadrupedal position.
He had gotten to his feet, when the Suchomimus was only ten feet away. He turned, and as the crocodilian jaws were about to clamp down around his right leg, swatted the Suchomimus with his tail. The Alpha predator hit the ground hard, and the Allosaurus capitalized. He unhinged his jaw, and slammed the upper jaw down on the Suchomimus' neck. Again, and again, he bore down on the helpless animal. The Suchomimus struck out with her fish hook claws slashing aimlessly in the Allosaurs direction. He struck once more, with this strike almost decapitating the Suchomimus. Its arm fell to the sandy beach, the blood pooling around the Allosaurs feet. He turned and walked away, he had a new territory to survey. He left the corpse for the Scavengers.
