The "Explosion born lizard"
Length: 11 meters
weight: 4.5 tons
Height: 3 meters
Era: Early Cretaceous
Ekrixinatosaurus has the name meaning of "explosion born lizard", and this doesn't just pertain to how its fossils were discovered. This gigantic theropod may seem like a slouch, but when its time to eat, its quite the nightmare. These Abelisaurs attack with such a ferocity and force, they have been observed knocking a fully grown diplodocus to the ground. Unlike other Abelisaurs, Ekrixinatosaurus has a monstrous bite, being able to crush bone with two tons of force. Ekrixinatosaurus also has useable arms, but they aren't overall as useful as say, Torvosaurus' arms. Ekrixinatosaurus has a jet black back, with a leaf green underbelly and throat.
Tarbosaurus
The " Alarming Lizard"
Length: 10 meters
Weight: 4.5 tons
Height: 3 meters
Era: Cretacious
Tarbosaurus is a solitary Tyrannosaur. Unlike its larger kin, This asian tyrannosaur is capable of reaching a speedy 40 miles an hour in short bursts. This helps it chase down the ornithomimids and faster Hadrosaurs which make up most of its diet. Tarbosaurus individuals have been known to crossbreed with other tyrannosaurus. The offspring have not been known to survive for long, however. There are reports of a large Tyrannosaurid, seeming to be a mixture of Tarbosaurus and Gorgosaurus lurking the dense jungles of Nublar. Whether it's the result of crossbreeding, or a new species yet undiscovered, is undetermined. Tarbosaurus is a soft red color, with various black markings splattered around the body. Males have a bright yellow throat.
And..Begin..
The cold winter wind bit shrewdly at the pebbled skin of the bull Ekrixinatosaurus. He lifted his massive feet at the sudden chill, not accustomed to such weather. Isla Nublar was seeing it's first snow fall in decades. The purple mountains that raised so majestically out of the islands fertile soil were now covered in the pure white snow. All around the massive abelisaur, lay the footprints of various creatures. Ranging from miniscule to impressively enormous, the imprints were all around.
The Abelisaur lifted his massive boxy head to the cold morning air, sniffing for an animal to slaughter. It had been weeks since had last filled his gullet.
Nearby..
The old female tyrannosaur growled in anticipation. The Edmontosaurus she had been stalking was oblivious to her presence. She lay behind a fallen log, the snow that had blanketed the dense foliage camoflauged her perfectly. The Hadrosaur looked cautiously around, then stripped the conifer needles off a low hanging branch. While she was occupied, the Tyrannosaur made her move.
She sprang up, her calves taught with action. She placed her foot on the rotten log, and launched her bulk towards the hadrosaur.
The hapless animal had just turned its head, when she was upon it. She lurched forward, biting down along the spine. The Shriek that had imminated from the dying duck bill was cut off abruptly as the Asian tyrant thrashed her head violently back and forth. Blood spattered onto the fresh now, turning it a dark red.
She let the hadrosaur fall from her maw, ripping open the carcass with a decisive bite to the abdomen. She took her time eating the liver before moving onto the other choice cuts.
The bull Abelisaur had heard the scene. The smell of fresh blood hit his nostrils like a dinner bell. He turned and walked in the direction of the kill, which was suprisingly close by. Through the dying branches of a small sequioa tree, she spotted the Tyrannosaur. It was preoccupied with its hadrosaur lunch.
The Abelisaur weighed his options, confront the enormous animal, or look for an easier meal.
The Corpse was too much, he cautiously crept up behind the Tyrannosaur. His footfalls muffled by the fresh blanked of snow.
The Tyrannosaur instinctively knew another predator was in the area, just not where it was. She growled and turned, smacking her snout into the jaws of the approaching abelisaur. She took a few baffled steps back, eyeing the new arrival with the anger boiling under her skin.
The Abelisaur lurched forward, taking the inadvertent bump as an attack. He clamped his jaws around the muzzle of the asian tyrant. She jerked her head to the side, slamming the boxy head of the Explosion born lizard into a rotting tree. The impact sent a headsplitting ringing throuout the Theropods body, and he took a few stumbling steps back.
The Tarbosaurus went on the attack, lunging forward and grabbing the Abelisaur by the neck.
The Abelisaur was strong, pushing the Tyrant ten yards from his crouched position. The Tarbosaurus went to reposition her grip, but she wasn't quick enough. The abelisaur snapped his head up with lightning speed, clamping his jaws around the Abelisaurs neck.
The Asian tyrant squealed in agony, thrashing her arms in an attempt to free herself from the attack.
Her claws connected with the right eye of the Abelisaur, but he still held with a bulldog like tenacity.
With a swift downward stroke, he tore the throat of the Tyrannosaur out.
He backed away quickly, spitting the flesh out and watching the Tarbosaurus crumple lifelessly to the ground. The Snow around them was quickly turning a dark red.
The Abelisaur snorted, then walked to the Edmontosaurus. He now had enough food around to last him for weeks.
And the winner is...Ekrixinatosaurus!
Nature doesn't deceive us; it is we who deceive ourselves.
