Hello there. After having had a while to ponder the concept of the D-Rex, a creature fashioned from the genetic material of a T-Rex, Velociraptor, Snake and Cuttlefish, I've come to a few conclusions of the abilities it might possess. Naturally, the T-Rex portion will lend it superior size, strength, and endurance. The Raptor genes will ensure that it's likely fairly agile, cunning and intelliegent. The Cuttlefish aspect will lend the creature the ability to camouflage itself with startling speed and accuracy. However, what would the snake provide? Naturally, the serpent DNA could afford the D-Rex a venomous bite and the ability to unhinge its jaws. However, there is another trait this animal's snake DNA could provide: the ability to detect heat - allowing it to see in a primitive form of infrared. So, to sum things up, we possibly have a creature that is extremely strong, vastly cunning, capable of vanishing into its environment, and potentially has the ability to see via infrared. The D-Rex is Jurassic Park's equivalent of a Predator. Chris Pratt is out of his league. Someone please call Arnold Schwarzenegger. :)

That's possible. If it wasn't being called Jurassic World and being classified a Jurassic Park, this would be awesome. As a Jurassic Park however, no, just no. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out.

MR.HAPPY9097 - Indeed. I couldn't agree with you more. However, I plan on seeing this film in theatres. I want to know so badly if they can even begin to come close to justifying this monster as anything more than a purpose-built antagonist. :)

Same, and I'm seeing it in theaters too. With any luck, at the minimum, it'll top JP 3.

Wait one bloody minute! if the D-Rex is spliced with Raptor DNA, is it possible that it could mimic their calls and lure them to do what it wants? It stands to reason that it's a possibility. :)

It's possible, though I'd rather it not happen.

Guys do you think the D-Rex will have snake poison?

GHOSTRODAN100000 - With as genetically bastardized as the D-Rex is, I wouldn't be surprised if it can fly! All joking aside, It's very possible that the D-Rex will have a venomous bite. :)

My understanding from your Synopsis of D-REX, Is that we're dealing with a  "Predator" Like animal, That Will only hunt living things as the leaked screen play tells us.

I think that your idea with the snake is dead on, They used to feed it dead animals, but after it expirenced the thrill of hunting a real one with heat vision, It would not take a dead one, (That also lends a tad to the raptors, Hunting for the fun of it).

I don't like D-Rex in JP, But it does peak my curiosity...

Life cannot be contained, it breaks walls, crashes through barriers sometimes painfully, but uh... Life uh, finds a way

do you think it might have a raptor claw on its middle toe? to make it even more interesting it might not even be on its toe. maybe it could on its finger. that could be cool. what kind pf venom could it have? i want to say something like a coral snake which is very deadly. your idea about seeing heat is cool too

I think you made some very interessting points SOMETHING REAL. I think the toe claw would look bad-ass. As for the snake, it probably has vemon. But it also might have a strong tail, like a snake.

Youre fat, and I'm not sugarcoating it cause you'd probably eat that too.

i just had an idea. it could very likely be a rattlesnake. some rattle snakes have horns and that could be a reason to name it diabolus

Each of you has brought up some extremely fascinating ideas concerning the D-Rex! I, too, am curious if the creature will sport a sickle-claw upon one of its feet or hands - I'm certainly interested in knowing what sort of aspects the snake DNA it possesses will grant it. :)

the question is
How big is it going to be?

T-Rex White - Now that is a very good question! I've a feeling it will be roughly the same size as a T-Rex, though perhaps sleeker and more agile. :)
