The Incident

It was about eight months since the Velociraptor hatched. Both the Velociraptor and Tyrannosaur had grown at a high rate, and the Tyrannosaurus was about eight hundred pounds in weight. She was kept in a holding pen outside the visitor centre because she was too much of a danger to keep inside.

The Velociraptor was being out into a pen. The Velociraptor was about one hundred pounds in weight, and she was extremely quick. She had been tranquilized and was being carried to her pen. She woke earlier than what was expected and freed herself from the grip of the handler.

Muldoon was walking around the corner to check on the Tyrannosaur when he heard screaming. He ran to the source, and when he got there, the Velociraptor had already ripped the man open and was about to eat him. The man weakly tried to fend off the Velociraptor, and Muldoon started yelling. The Velociraptor looked up and hissed at Muldoon. Muldoon stepped closer, and the Velociraptor stepped over the man and prepared to attack.

Muldoon turned the safety off on his shotgun as he raised it to his shoulder, and the Velociraptor attacked with blinding speed. Muldoon pulled the trigger and the Velociraptor slowed down enough for Muldoon to hit the side of its head with the stock of his shotgun. The Raptor stumbled to the side, and Muldoon shouldered the shotgun again. The last thing the Raptor saw was the barrel of the shotgun before Muldoon took the shot, sending the OO buck through its skull and neck.

Muldoon went to the man's side to try and help, and people were already coming to help. The man looked at Muldoon and said, "It woke up. After that, it bit me and lunged. It was so fast, one second, I'm about to put it in the pen, the next, my gut is ripped open and you start yelling." "It's going to be alright Bobby. You're going to be fine."

A medical team picked Bobby up and brought him to the nearest clinic. Hammond arrived and saw the dead Raptor. "Robert! What the hell did you do?" "It was about to kill Bobby, was I supposed to let it kill him?" "No. You were supposed to distract it until someone could put it down without killing it." "Sorry I couldn't do that. There wasn't much time, and that thing was going to try and get me." "Next time, carry a pistol with tranquilizer rounds."

Muldoon walked away a little mad at Hammond. Hammond was mad at Muldoon, and neither of them thought the other knew what they were talking about.
