Let's get on with it.

Saurophaganax

Length: 11 meters

Height: 3 meters

Weight: 3.5 tons

Era: Jurassic

Saurophaganax was a side project that Ingen had been working on around the time of the '93 incident. It, and Epanterias were long thought to be the same species, but when the genetic sequence was defined, it revealed they are two entirely different allosaurids. They are relatively destructive animals, going out of their way to knock down trees and fences. Because of this, only two were originally bred for the park. They were a mated pair, that escaped captivity when the events of '93 took place. They are believed to be roaming the jungles, where the food is plentiful.

Epanterias

Length: 12 meters

Weight: 4 tons

Height: 3.25 meters

Era: Jurassic

Like Saurophaganax, Epanterias was a side project on the part of Ingen. They are more mild mannered then the fellow allosaurid; yet they are still a force to be reckoned with. They seem to enjoy the confrontations with other theropods, often going out of their wway to egg on a fight. Three were originally bred for the park, sadly one died when a tree was struck by lightning. Visitors to the ruins of Jurassic Park report seeing these beasts roaming, apparently looking for food.

And...Begin..

John watched as the eery mist around Isla Sorna parted, revealing the green dense foliage on the pristine hills. Some sort of animal was bellowing a deep, disturbing sound. It sent chills down his spine.

" So, this is it eh?" he said," I expected...well... a little bit more"

" Hey man, you wanted me to bring you all the way out here. Here it is, you wanna turn around?" Said his bearded tour guide.

He had met the man in costa rica, where the sketchy gentleman was offering boat rides to see 'the island'. His curiosity had peaked at that moment, john gave this stranger two hundred dollars, and after a long uncomfortable boat ride, they had arrived.

"Nah, let's go check this thing out. Who knows what we'll see?"

"Alright, let's get on with it." the bearded man carefully docked the boat next to a rotting pier. The all too familiar Jurassic park logo still clung to the wood, yet it was being eaten away by the salty ocean water.

John tentively put his foot on the pier, the creaking that eminated from it made him cringe. He pulled himself up onto the pier, and started walking to the marble stairs some twenty yards away.

The shady man who had brought him here finished tieing hte boat off, and threw caution to the wind as he jumped on the aged wood.

"you really know where the park is? said John.

"Of course", the man gave a snort of distaste. You think it's my first time here?" We're actually pretty close. Just over that little hill right there."

The hill before them didn't look little at all, to John, it looked like a gargantuan mountain. John gave a groan of dissapointment.

"We really have to walk over that?"

"Hey man, you wanted to see this place. Quit your whining and let's go."

They hiked for around twenty minutes, not a word between them. The distinct sound of insects buzzing hummed in John's ears, a sound he was happy to get rid of as they reached the crest of the hill.

A gasp of collective excitement and anticipation escaped Johns lips as he viewed the ruins. The visitor center still stood, along with various other buildings. Decay had started to set in on them, that much he could tell. It had been twenty or so years since anyone kept up on the place.

" Come on, the sun is starting to go down. We shouldn't stay here for long" The shady man was wildly looking around, his eyes wide with fright.

"Oh, jesus"

He took off down the hill.

John looked after him, bewildered.

He got the reason why, the snorting breath of something was right behind him. He broke out in a cold sweat, daring himself to turn around. That's a decision he soon regretted.

As he turned, the form of a bipedal Green creature with yellowish stripes came from behind a tree. It sported wicked looking claws and enormous teeth.

John took off. His legs carried him down the hill, the large rocks jutting from the earth gave him a platform to launch himself off of. He reached the road of Jurassic Park in record time.

Turning around, he could see the enormous animal was steadily making its way down the hill. It was being weirdly careful of its footing

"What the hell are you doing?" came the raspy voice of his guide. "Run!"

John turned and ran, following the small road the visitor cars had taken that faithful day, twenty one years ago.

The animal behind them gave a roar of rage and apparently hunger, it was coming. Fast. The two men ducked behind a fallen telephone pole. They were careful to avoid the wires.

"Get down."The guide fiercly whispered. It's coming"

John squatted behind the pole, keeping his eyes on the beast. It walked slowly, scanning its surroundings. He's hunting us John thought unhappily Fantastic. He looked around for something he could use for a weapon. Anything would do. He picked up a large rock, and eyed it unhappily. His guide looked at him as if he were crazy.

But there was no need for a weapon, something had caught the Green animals attention. It was turning its head wildy, giving a guttural growl as it did so.

Something wet splashed Johns right side, and an injured yelp accompanied it. Not taking his eyes off the monster in front of him, he reached to touch his rib cage. He brought his hand to eye level, and saw it was blood. Quickly, he turned his head to see if his guide was ok.

The body of the man hung in the jaws of another monster, this one a Dull brown color. It sported two red crests. He recognized the predator as an Epanterias, but that was the last thing on his mind.

"Holy sh-" was all that escaped his lips. He ran. Fast.

The Epanterias swallowed his guide, and then turned to face the other creature. It gave an earth shattering shriek.

John stooped inside a Souvenir booth, the glass windows hade been shattered somewhere down the line, opened the door and watched the two monsters face off. The Epanterias was larger, and it immidiately took advantage. It ran at the other Theropod, ramming head on into it. The green animal didn't budge, instead wrapping its impressive arms around the Epanterias' head. The claws sunk into the vunerably flesh around the jaws and snout. It  pushed the Epanterias away, Then lunged forward.

It caught the Epanterias on the back, attempting to wrestle its adversary down. The Epanterias broke away, smacking the other animal upside the head with his broad tail in the process.

The Green animal again rushed the Epanterias, grabbing the base of the tail with its impressive jaws. The sound of ripping flesh was sickening in Johns ears.

The Epanterias wheeled around, catching the neck of the rival theropod with an impressive swipe of the claws. The animal let go, and lunged for the Epanterias' throat.

The Allosaurid was ready. As the killing blow was about to land, he ducked. He lunged forward, pushing the green animal, and causing it to fall.

The Epanterias seized the moment, jumping on the Green animal. The two animals grappled in a life or death struggle, but the over flesh eater got the jump on the Allosaurid.

As john watched, the Green animal swung its arm with amazing ferocity, catching the Epanterias' throat. The blood rushed out like an open flood gate, coating the other theropod. The Epanterias gave a small cough; a roar cut off by the blood rushing out of the wound.

The Green animal kicked the Epanterias away, the body slumping to the ground. It locked its horrific jaws around the downed animals neck, apparently making sure it was going to die.  After a moment, it released the grip. the Monstrosity looked at the corpse for a moment, before turning and walking into the maze of buildings.

John sat for a moment, the animal was still likely around. After seeing the damage it had done, he didn't want to see it again. Nor did he want to be on the island any more.

A few minutes pass, and john decides its time. He sprints the way he came, eager to get out of this hellish place.

Winner...Saurophaganax!

Even though it was smaller, it was the more aggresive of the two.

thanks.

Ya know, i always thought these guys, and allosaurus were the same animal. I guess there's some small differences to establish them as three different species, i guess

Awesome fight! Rooting for Epanterias but I am still happy with the outcome. I like this form

Interesting to see a fight with two allosaurids fighting since it was common in the wild. Hope to see more soon.

Great fight. I liked the setting.

Nice. Wasn't rooting for either, but well written overall.
