Jurassic Park: The Game Warden's Story Chapter 7

The Raptor

It was about three months since Muldoon first arrived on Isla Nublar. He is getting used to the new conditions and his new job, and he looks after the Tyrannosaurus. While Muldoon is looking after the Tyrannosaur and testing all the weapons, Hammond has Henry Wu working on cloning new species.

Muldoon was taking the Tyrannosaur out for a walk in the mountain area that's set to be her paddock, and the Tyrannosaur is getting used to it. Muldoon was sitting under a tree having his lunch, and the Tyrannosaur was playing around. Muldoon watched as she watched a rat step into the clearing and start poking around for food. The Tyrannosaur slowly crept up behind the rat and lunged. Muldoon watched with a smile as the rat was ripped apart and then eaten.

"Good work. Even though you're three months old, you've got some ability." The Tyrannosaur finished eating the rat and then curled up next Muldoon. "I guess she's comfortable here. She's going to sleep." Muldoon finished his lunch and then picked up the Tyrannosaurus gently. The Tyrannosaur didn't react as he walked back to the Jeep, fired it up and drove off.

Dr. Wu and Hammond were in the cloning lab. They were waiting for one of the eggs that started to move to hatch. They watched as a Velociraptor hatched, and one of the scientists went to pick it up and start doing tests. "Go easy on it, will you?" "I am John." "Louis, have you not learned anything from last time this happened?" "With the Tyrannosaur?" "Yeah, that situation. You couldn't do anything with it, and then Muldoon just walked in, held it close to him for a minute, and then it did exactly what he wanted." "Fine, I'll do that."

Louis did what he was told, and then tried to test the Velociraptor. The Velociraptor did what Louis wanted it to do, and then it was brought to the nursery. "That wasn't so hard, now was it?" "Shut up John. You're acting like Muldoon knows everything about dangerous animals, even before they become dangerous." "He knows more than you, so just deal with the fact that you don't know everything."

Muldoon got back to the visitor centre a short time after the Raptor hatched, and he saw it when he went to drop the T-Rex off in the nursery. "John, what's that?" "It's a Velociraptor." "A Velociraptor? Well, we can't exactly have these two together, can we?" "I doubt it." "What should we do then?" "I never thought of that. Why not just have the Rex in your room for a bit." "I dunno. I guess for now." "Thanks Robert."

As Muldoon walked to his room, he started thinking about what to do with the Raptor. He knows they were dangerous, so he knows that it needs to be handled with extreme caution once it's a bit bigger.

Great chapter! The same thing happened to me the site wouldn't let me on earlier... Somthing about a 522 error or somthing

When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade. Tell life I don't want you're damn lemons, and then squeeze them into life's eyes!

MR.HAPPY9097 - That was exceptionally fun to read! I think this iteration of Muldoon is one of my favotires. The baby Rex is adorable! Including her was a fantastic idea. Thank you so very much for sharing this with us! :)

Great chapter and I had the same problem yesterday.

Keep in mind that many people have died for their beliefs; it's actually quite common. The real courage is in living and suffering for what you believe in. -Brom-
