Testing

When Muldoon got to the watering hole, he saw it was still in the process of being dug up. He drive to the edge to make sure no one was there,many then he set up a few targets in the area. He tested the M4 first.

He tried it single shot, burst fire, and fully automatic. The rifle was accurate and low recoil. Muldoon found it easy to fire, and then switched to the SPAS 12 after using about sixty rounds with the M4. The SPAS 12 cycled properly, it fired with ease, it switched between pump and semi without trouble, and the sights were dead on. Muldoon switched to the Barrett M82A2. He grabbed a piece of plywood and set it up at two hundred yards from where he was. He sighted the scope in in less than five rounds, and then started firing at different ranges.

Muldoon set up cans and paper targets at ranges from one to five hundred yards. He was surprised by the out the box accuracy of the rifle, and took notes on its performance. It was starting to get dark, and Muldoon decided to use one more ten round mag. He set up a paper target at four hundred yards and squeezed off all the shots. He drove to the target, and all ten bullets had hit the same spot, scoring a group that was less than three quarters of an inch.

Muldoon went back to his room and cleaned the guns before putting them in his closet. Hammond knocked on the door, and Muldoon opened it for him. "So Robert, how are the weapons?" "Excellent. They all do their job, they're all accurate, and none of them are through their hundred round break in period." "That sounds good. Which one did you like the most?" "I liked the M82A2 the best, but I'll probably be using the SPAS 12 the most." "As long as you like them, that's what counts." "I know, and they are all great weapons." "Good, I was just checking up on how you were." "I'm good John." "That's good, and I'm good too. I've got some business to attend to, so I'll be going now." "See you later John."
