We Make Your Future
Ingen, The key part of the JP Franchise, That brought a new found love of Dinosaurs To a Generation... Bought out by Patel Corp., We look to see a new found love for Dinosaurs, Return again.
But, Ingens Techniques, Were, Incorrect. We all know. But... How close are we To creating an actual Dinosaur?
*I got this Idea from Watching James Woods Future Scape*
We know that we have the power to use Genetics, For marvelous things. Today we use it in everyday Products, including the food we eat.
In the near future, Genetisists wish to Alter our DNA, the DNA Of Man kind... To an extent, That we will have lost what it means to be Human...
If you ask me, Personally, Genetics can be used, to help, and to destroy. We must be careful with it. Or else, We will get so Caught up in changing our DNA,That we will be like Daleks.
To quote Ian Malcolm "Gentics is the most powerful thing known to mankind, and your using it, like a kid who found his Dad's gun"
Back to dinosaurs.
One Idea to get Dinosaurs, is to reverse Engineer them, From Birds... Such as chickens.
That path, as good of an Idea as it is... Is rather Tedious... You must Constantly Breed the product, over and over and over... To get something that looks like a dinosaur.
MY Theroy to reach the same thing... Is to just Engineer it.
Now, It is an Impossiblility now... But so was Travelling half the world, In half a day a Century ago... I predict, Within the Next Ten to Twenty Years, We will have the tech to do such a thing.
We need to start with a base... Maybe the Genetic Code of a chicken... Or perhaps a frog? Proceeding from the Base layer *Chicken DNA* Assuming by then we know enough about Genetics, We begin to manipulate the base... With Bits of Dinosaur DNA. Or we can take what we know from the Base DNA, And arrange bits of the Dinosaur DNA, and Engineer, or fill in the holes with DNA We have. (Prefferably from the base)...
Now, I throw this to you. What would you do to create A Dinosaur?

MemberAllosaurusMay-17-2014 5:40 AMWEll, if the best genetic scientests and paleontologists got together, they could find the closest living relatives of the dinosaurs (i.e. Chickens, Ostriches, Crocodiles, etc.) and extract DNA from these creatures, and then crefully mix them together. Then, place the formula into an egg of the closest living relative of the dinosaur. Then, do this over and over again, slowly breed them, and soon, you got a dinosaur.

MemberCompsognathusMay-17-2014 10:38 AMWell, depending on what dinosaur you want to engineer, I would find the closest living animal to it ( i,e, ostrich, emu, maybe chicken.) I would take it's egg and just after it was laded and genetically modify it from there giving it teeth, claws, scales, and a different body structure to match the species you want to create. You would probably have to do this a couple of times to get it right, but you soon would a dinosaur, or something resembling it. This could actually happen soon. It was on documentary I watched awhile back, but I can't think of the name right now. If you want to watch it, you can find it on Netflix. It's comes with other documentaries that are also interesting.
