A Few Things

I want to post my next story right now, but I try to keep a schedule. There's 11 more days until the 13th, so I will wait. What I can do however, is post a teaser. I forget what chapter this is from, but enjoy.

The boom rang across the island. Almost everything heard it. Harding and Wu knew that Muldoon was alive or was only just recently killed, and they went to the source. They reached the visitor centre and saw the Carnotaurus corpse. They walked in together, and they went to the roof. Muldoon heard them coming, and he had his shotgun ready, expecting a dinosaur. Harding and Wu reached the top of the stairs, and they jumped back when they saw Muldoon with the shotgun pointed at them.

DD9097RS is coming smoothly, and first fight I have written is already promising.

Lieutenant 9097's Story: After the War

It had been over a week since General Delta disappeared without a trace. I took over command of the Rebellion, and quickly stopped the fighting before it became big. I talked peace with Major General Paden, and the agreement was easily reached. I was fine with the terms as long as they were reasonable. We agreed to cease fire, not lay down our arms, but we did agree not to fight.

My troops had been ready to fight at a moment's notice. The SSSS remained at our base, ready to be deployed, watching, ready to defend just as quick as attack. Alpha through Delta squad were stationed at various points, hidden, like a snake in the grass. The Run and Gun Squad were at the base, practicing their driving skills. The Underwater Battalion / Transport Units were ready for a fight.

A fight never came. We sat, practicing, waiting, training for a week before I decided to do something about it. After the peace talks, my troops settled down. The Jeeps were parked, the Trucks were parked, the guns were put into storage, and all the troops had a meal, their first cooked meal since training began. Now, they all live in the trees, in the bushes, anywhere they can find, ready for action at a moment's notice.

General Delta disappeared without trace. Before he left, he told me that peace talks had failed. I haven't heard from him since. Maybe, the General hiding somewhere remote, honing his skills.
