Acrocanthosaurus
Length: 11 meters
Weight: 3.5 tons
Height: 3 meters
Era: Early cretacious
A giant Carcharodontosaurid that is truly a sauropod hunter. It stalks the massive herds of tree grazers, always keeping a vigil eye out for young, weak, or old animals. They are often seen hunting in small packs of 3-5, in which they will take healthy adult animals. Acrocanthosaurus is an animal well adapted to dry conditions. While other dinosaur species wander aimlessly in times of drought, Acro tends to stay put. They pick off the weakened animals with ease. Acrocanthosaurus is a mottled brown animal, with a dull orange sail.
Tyrannotitan
Length: 12 meters
Weight: 5 tons
Height: 3.5 meters
Era: Early Cretacious
hey are built a lot more robust than other Carcharodontosaurs, and because of this, they are among the largest of the family. Others pass by in length, but Tyrannotitan is a heavy weight. These Carcharodontosaurids are unusual in the fact that they fly solo for the majority of their lives. That being said, They are pretty capable of bringing down large Sauropods. Tyrannotitan is a dull green color, with some blood red coloration on the snout.
And..Begin..
The female Tyrannotitan nosed around the sun bleached skeleton that had been her youngster. She still had trouble leaving its side, months after the incident that took her only baby. Times had been tough on the island for the last few months, food was rather hard to catch.
The giant sauropods had migrated south, on their usual path. Myriads of Carnivores followed eagerly, but this year, the Tyrannotitan could not. The youngster had been too small. He would have been easy pickings for the other predators.
Now, he was reduced to his white brittle skeleton. The mother Carcharodontosaur lay beside it, issuing a mournful growl. Her stomach was becoming empty.
She glanced once more at the skeleton, and got to her feet. Scratching her neck, she surveyed the small dry plain she called her home. Some Ornithomimus ran in rampant circles, honking and shrieking unrelentlessly. She would kill one just to shut them up.
She walked towards the small, muddy water hole that had once been an ever flowing river. The Pterosaurs that were occupying the left bank took off even before she reached the waters edge, Instictively, she knew something large was hiding in the cover of the shrubs.
Soon enough, An Acrocanthosaurus, with a large scar over his eye and producing a painful limp, came to the waters edge.
Her stomach growled once more. She eye balled the Acrocanthosaurus, deciding if he would make a good meal. He was large, yet not larger then she. The High spined lizard met eyes with the Tyrant Titan, and roared. He walked into the muddy water, approaching the mother Carcharodontosaur aggresively.
She planted her feet in the thick mud, lowering her head.
The Acrocanthosaurus stopped within three feet of the Tyrannotitan, and just stared at her.
Then he went on the attack. He stooped a little, and got his teeth around her neck.
Quite startled by the random, yet severe course of action this random animal decided to take, she stumbled backwards. His teeth still held their grip on her neck.
Yet, he wasn't really applying pressure. She swatted at him, and he let go. She shoulder checked him, sending him to the ground.
The Acrocanthosaurus struggled to get back on his feet, placing most of his weight on his right leg. He now backed towards the small muddy remains of the river. His large feet splashed in the water, frothing it up.
Then the Rutiodon leapt from the murky depths. It grabbed the Acrocanthosaurus' tail, and attempted to drag it into the water. The strain caused the Carcharodontosaurs left leg to snap, and it collapsed to the water. The Crocodilian was on it within seconds, tearing its throat out with apparent ease.
The female Tyrannotitan could only watch, dumbfounded by what had just unfolded. She walked back to her Youngsters skeleton, and now felt confident that she could scavange off the Acrocanthosaurus, and kill the Rutiodon at a later time. Things were starting to look up for her.
Win- errhm...last man standing...Tyrannotitan!
She only got the big W because of the Crocodilian.

Keep in mind that many people have died for their beliefs; it's actually quite common. The real courage is in living and suffering for what you believe in. -Brom-
