Tyrannosaurus Rex
The individual is an eight ton male. He is experienced, he has a few things in his life he can't afford to lose, and his mate is wounded.
Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus
Today's Spinosaurus is a seven ton male. He has experience fighting dinosaurs like Giganotosaurus, but tends to stay away from Tyrannosaurs.
Begin!
A drought hit Isla Sorna. It has been about a month since the start, and the weak animals are dying left and right. A large male Tyrannosaurus is standing next to his mate. She was wounded in a Stegosaurus hunt. The hunt had succeeded, but that was three weeks earlier. The female can walk, but she can't run or do anything useful, so she stays behind while her mate hunts. He usually comes back with something that lasts two days at the most, but she is slowly dying. The male knows he needs to come back with something big if she is to survive.
The Spinosaurus is looking at the last little puddle that remains of what used to be his river. The water is half an inch deep, and the remains of fish that were trapped when the river stopped flowing lay scattered over the river bed. He didn't know what to do. The river had been there his whole life. He never needed to venture away from it or defend it often. Usually, he was challenged by something that he threatened. The local Giganotosaurus population was his biggest challenge, but he could beat them in a fight. Occasionally, a Tyrannosaur would show up. The Tyrannosaur would ignore him, and he would leave it alone. He knows what a Tyrannosaurus Rex is capable of.
Hunger made the Spinosaurus leave the river for the first time, and he walked towards the centre of the island. He reached a large clearing. In the middle, was the male Tyrannosaurus, and he just killed a Stegosaurus. He was eating, being careful to leave most of the choice cuts for his mate. The Spinosaurus slowly walked towards the carcass. He wouldn't fight if he didn't need to, but if the need arose, he would fight.
The Tyrannosaurus looked up and growled. The Spinosaurus continued walking closer. The Tyrannosaurus started pulling the carcass away, and as the Spinosaurus got closer, he'd drag it faster. The Spinosaurus kept getting closer, and the Tyrannosaurus decided to show the Spinosaurus who's boss. He let go of the carcass, stepped around it and walked right up to the Spinosaurus.
The Spinosaurus hissed, and the Tyrannosaurus was surprised by the action. The Spinosaurus was the one who kept getting closer, he didn't want anything to do with him. The Tyrannosaurus growled, and the Spinosaurus reared up to his full height and swung his arms. The Tyrannosaurus reared up to his full height and flashed his teeth. They went back to their defensive stances, and the Tyrannosaurus saw the Spinosaurus wasn't as intimidating as his sail and height made him look. The Spinosaurus saw that the Tyrannosaurus was an intimidating creature, full height or not.
The Spinosaurus mock charged the Tyrannosaurus. The Tyrannosaurus didn't fall for it, and instead of mock charging, he lunged forward and snapped his jaws shut, inches from the Spinosaurus's face. The Spinosaurus jumped back, and the sound the jaws slamming shut made echoed across the forest.
The Tyrannosaurus charged for real. He headbutted the Spinosaurus, and the Spinosaurus stumbled back. Before he regained his balance, the Tyrannosaurus was biting him. The Tyrannosaurus was pushing him away from the kill, and when he reached the opposite end of the clearing, gave one final push and let go. The Spinosaurus backed into some trees, and then charged the Tyrannosaurus. The Tyrannosaurus didn't expect it, and he was knocked off balance by the attack.
The Spinosaurus took his turn to bite his opponent, but he couldn't push him around. Instead, he started slashing the Tyrannosaur's flanks, and the Tyrannosaur roared in pain as he attempted to free himself.
After a deal of struggling, he did free himself. The Spinosaurus looked at the Tyrannosaurus, thinking of what to do next. The Tyrannosaurus roared at the Spinosaurus. Any predator in the area was alerted to the raging battle, and they went in the opposite direction, all of them knowing what the Tyrannosaurus can do when he's angry. All but the Spinosaurus. The Spinosaurus roared back, and the predators that heard it knew the Spinosaurus was on a suicide mission.
The Tyrannosaurus ran at the Spinosaurus. The Spinosaurus didn't have time to react as the Tyrannosaurus bit his neck and pushed him to the ground. He let go of the Spinosaurus and stepped back. He was breathing heavily, and the Spinosaurus thought he was getting tired. The Tyrannosaurus watched as the Spinosaurus stood up, and then the Spinosaurus charged. The Tyrannosaurus ducked and headbutted the Spinosaurus from underneath. The force of the impact broke several ribs, and the Spinosaurus went three feet in the air. He landed on his feet, but he was bleeding internally and out his mouth and nose.
The Tyrannosaurus shook his head and cracked his neck. The impact had hurt him too, but a quick head shake and cracking his neck fixed it. He flashed his teeth at the Spinosaurus again, and the Spinosaurus attempted to slash his face. The Tyrannosaurus jumped back, and the Spinosaurus kept trying. After several attempts, the Spinosaurus got mad. The Tyrannosaurus attempted to repeat the headbutt, and when the Spinosaurus slashed, he ducked and attacked. The Spinosaurus saw it coming, but his hand was stuck in a tree next to the Tyrannosaurus.
The Tyrannosaurus headbutted him in the same spot, and his hand was so deep in the tree that it stayed in the tree. The Spinosaurus roared in pain, and the Tyrannosaurus looked at the arm that was stuck in the tree. The Spinosaurus took the chance and slashed the Tyrannosaurus. His claws went into his head, and the Spinosaurus's hand was stuck again. The Tyrannosaurus roared in pain, and the Spinosaurus attempted to pull his hand free. The Tyrannosaurus opened his jaws slightly, and the Spinosaurus hand was dislodged.
Both predators stood, staring at each other. The Tyrannosaurus's head was in extreme pain, but he ignored it. The Spinosaurus was starting to get tired. They were still looking when something entered the clearing. They both looked, and a second Spinosaurus stepped into the clearing. The Tyrannosaurus roared in anger, and at that moment, his mate walked into the clearing. Her leg felt better, and her mate's roaring got her attention.
All four stood, looking at the other, wondering what to do. The second Spinosaurus had heard a Tyrannosaurus and Spinosaurus fighting, and he wanted to help take out the Tyrannosaurus. All four roared, and at that moment, the wind picked up and lighting struck. It started to rain, and all four knew the drought was over. The battle wasn't, but the drought was. Visibility shrank to near zero, and the Tyrannosaurs made their move. The Tyrannosaurs attacked.
The next day, the rain stopped, and a few small dinosaurs found the clearing. Four large predators were lying in the middle of it. Two Tyrannosaurs, and two Spinosaurs. The smallest member of the Albertosaurus pack walked over to the Tyrannosaurs and started looking at them. They were laying side by side, and he could see both their faces. Both had large gashes along their snouts and down their necks.
The Spinosaurs weren't in good condition either. The one was missing part of his upper jaw, his one arm, and half his sail. He was dead, but he put a hell of a fight. The other Spinosaurus was twenty feet away. His throat was torn out, his leg was bitten in half, and his head was near the end of his tail.
Nothing knew what happened to the four giants that lie in the clearing. It was a massive fight, watched by almost every dinosaur within a mile, but once the rain started, nothing could see. Even the fighters could only see during lightning flashes, but that was enough for them to tear each other apart.
The Albertosaurus pack didn't know what to do about the Tyrannosaurs. They were the most feared creatures the island had ever seen. Everything on the island knew what they were and that they meant business when they fought. The small Albertosaurus didn't know anything about the Tyrannosaurus pair, and he was still looking at them when suddenly, as if out of a movie, they opened their eyes at the same time.
Winner....... Tyrannosaurus Rex
Larger, stronger, more experienced, more drive, but some bad luck and a desperate opponent made the fight longer than it could have been in an ordinary situation.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexApr-25-2014 6:29 PMThanks, that feedback was sooooooo encouraging. I get a feeling the fight could have taken two seconds to make, or two hours to make, and your response would have been the same.
You do realize I worked on this for over two hours, and all I get is, "Not surprised my the outcome."

MemberCompsognathusApr-25-2014 6:29 PMObliviously, you decided to post this. I agree with outcome of the fight. I like the addition two of each dinosaur.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexApr-25-2014 6:30 PMThanks. I was looking more for opinions on the quality, not so much the result Though.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexApr-25-2014 6:32 PMI'm just saying, the fight could have been a two sentence BS fest, or the great battle that it was, and your comment would have been the same, that's all.

MemberAllosaurusApr-25-2014 6:35 PMWell sorry next time I will give you more depth with my replies then.
The fight was good, olay? I just said I knew who was going to win, I don't see why you get mad. I mean a lot of times when people comment on my stories they just say great chpater and you don't see me telling them about how all they just said was "Good chapter".

MemberTyrannosaurus RexApr-25-2014 6:38 PMYeah, it's just that this was a second attempt at a good fight, and you ONLY commented on the outcome, nothing else. Good chapter pretty well says it. Good fight says it for a fight. Outcome was expected ONLY says sonething about the outcome, not what lead to the outcome.

MemberAllosaurusApr-25-2014 6:41 PMI said it was a good fight, okay!? Sometimes I write chapter that take me a literal 2 hours to write for my old story, and pretty much everyone would just say Great Chapter even thought it was long and I put a lot of thought into it.
Look, today was a pretty bad day for my emotional state so the LAST thing I need right now is someone getting mad at me, thank you very much.

MemberCompsognathusApr-26-2014 6:58 AMVery well done fight. I liked how you skipped the night and just went to the result of the battle. It felt more like the perspective of a random Albertosaurus in stead of one of the combatants. And I like the picture at the end. It is a bit too catoon-y, but I really like the coloration.
Keep in mind that many people have died for their beliefs; it's actually quite common. The real courage is in living and suffering for what you believe in. -Brom-

MemberTyrannosaurus RexApr-26-2014 7:02 AMThanks UCMP, that's what I was going for. I liked the image for the coloration too. I liked the design too, I don't mind that it's cartoony.

MemberCompsognathusApr-26-2014 4:25 PMMr. Happy, is there even a reason you keep doing this fight over and over again? I mean im not trying to come off angry or anything, but if i know what the outcome of a fight is going to be before i even start to read it, it really takes the umph out of it, now i guarentee this is what 401 is trying to get out of this, but hes just wanting to take the more polite way of putting it, im not saying im not trying to be polite, but im just throwing what i believe out there for less contraversy.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexApr-26-2014 4:50 PMOver and over? A whole two times? I know Rex vs. Spino has been done to death, but it just so happened that it appeared in my series. After that, I asked of anyone would like to see a rematch, and people did. You gotta admit, this was a damn good fight.
Think of it this way, agree or disagree with the outcome, I don't care. What's really important is the fight itself.

MemberCompsognathusApr-26-2014 5:00 PMYea, the series YOU created yourself, in case you dont remember, the last time you did these fights last year T-Rex almost always won, which left a little hope something else will win for a change, but never happens. Youve said so yourself, old habits die slow.
Lord Vader
MemberTyrannosaurus RexApr-26-2014 5:06 PMFor the series, I use a random match up generator to keep things fair. If I didn't, Rex vs Spino would have been round 2 or the finale, or not at all. It is my opinion, after all, that Rex would be the best fit dinosaur for 1 on 1 combat.

MemberCompsognathusApr-26-2014 5:15 PMI know that and you say that often, but that doesnt mean you should just bash Spino because it isnt your favorite or what you think should win, why are you wanting to post Rex vs spinos anyways? Isnt this the thing we wanated to prevent and stop posting, you dont see me posting any and im not even a moderator
Gojira2K
MemberCompsognathusApr-26-2014 5:18 PMThey are great fights Mr. Happy. Every Rex vs Spino fight you have done is very accurate. The outcomes are very believable and T-Rex is a very powerful Dinosaur. He would win most fights.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexApr-26-2014 5:21 PMIt was originally a case of "if it happens, big deal, it'll happen." After that, a few requests (after I brought up the idea) were made, and like I said before, I thinks it's a good fight.
If you actually read the fight (not saying you didn't, just saying IF), then you would know that the fight was decent length, both sides took heavy damage, and Rex didn't curb stomp Spino's head in.
It's the BS posts we are trying to avoid, such as "Spino weighed twenty tons and Rex was a scavenger."

MemberCompsognathusApr-26-2014 5:28 PMYour are basically saying anything good said about spinosaurus and anything bad said about t-rex is BS, nobody is for sure by any means, and a 20 ton spinosaurus is plausible, but T-rex being a scavenger, i dont think that would be something that would end up being fact. And Gojira... don't even think about it, that is your O.P.I.N.I.O.N, you said that like it was logic and fact.
Lord Vader
MemberTyrannosaurus RexApr-26-2014 5:34 PMI didn't say that. I'm just saying, we have so little remains of Spino, that we shouldn't jump to conclusions. I'm saying that 20 tons for a biped is unreasonable. At least half that weight would have to be in the legs alone to hold that much weight, and the rest would be mostly the guts. 20 tons for a biped is like having 60" mud tires on a rear wheel drive Chevy s10, ford ranger, or dodge Dakota. There's no point to it.
He knows just as well as you and me that it is opinions. We don't have to say its an opinion every time. Just assume that they meant it's an opinion, and if they get pissed if you say something against their opinion, then they take it as fact.

MemberCompsognathusApr-26-2014 5:38 PMI'm not saying it is fact. I'm saying that it is accurate, I'm not saying it is 100% how it would have gone. I'm a Spino Fan and I believe this is how it could end up.

MemberCompsognathusApr-26-2014 5:45 PMOh, so now you wanna bring back spino being weak on all together, which is also an O.P.I.N.I.O.N. Why would they just go ahead and say Spinosaurus was the largest of all carnivorous dinosaurs, apparently because they have enough evidence to say it was. I dont think they would just get it completely publicly known that it was the largest ever, and still have that stand till this day, and yes, there are more that think it really was than people who don't.
