MemberCompsognathusApr-23-2014 7:53 AMSo I woke up this morning around ten and was still surprisingly tired. I went on facebook and Jurassic Park Legacy's page posted something that woke me up almost instantly. "Jurassic World to get sequels according to Empire Magazine!"
Empire Magazine says,
"Among the panoply of filmmakers to have contributed to Empire's latest and 300thest issue – Coppola! Spielberg! Whedon! Fincher! – a less familiar name, Jurassic World’s Colin Trevorrow, chips in with a fascinating status report from his dino disaster movie. The big news? That Universal has further Jurassic movies planned and Trevorrow is keen to direct them - 'if they’ll have me'."
“We definitely talked about [sequels] a lot,” the director/co-writer revealed. “We wanted to create something that would be a little bit less arbitrary and episodic, and something that could potentially arc into a series that would feel like a complete story.”
Notice Colin said "could" rather than "will" in that second paragraph. It goes on to say,
"While it’s well-known that Jurassic World revisits the Isla Nublar 22 years after the events depicted in Jurassic Park – the film’s shoot is currently underway in Hawaii, before heading to New Orleans – the specifics of what exactly has come to pass, dino-wise, in the intervening period are remaining under wraps. Trevorrow, though, was happy to confirm that he’ll be using animatronic dinosaurs and elaborated on the movie's broader set-up."
Did you catch that last part? I missed it the first time. We're getting the Animatronic dinosaurs as well in the film! So it also appears that we're possibly, stress that word again, possibly getting that second trilogy that was talked about in 2010 (I think it was 2010). What are your thoughts? Are you excited for a second trilogy, or do you think they "were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should"?

MemberCompsognathusApr-23-2014 8:14 AMI just hope that the sequels will turn out to be half-decent. Whatever the case, I would still watch them as long as they feature dinosaurs.
Keep in mind that many people have died for their beliefs; it's actually quite common. The real courage is in living and suffering for what you believe in. -Brom-

MemberCompsognathusApr-23-2014 12:56 PMIf they make sequels, I'll watch and buy them even if they aren't very good. But I hope they are pretty decent.
