Gorgosaurus
Length: 8.5 meters
Weight: 2.5 tons
Height: 3 meters
Era: mid Cretaceous
Although often overshadowed by it's larger cousins, Gorgosaurus is still an impressive animal. A fast, mid-sized tyrannosaur that has an unusual killing method. It bites the neck, holds the prey animal in place, and kicks at the body, snapping the neck. They usually hunt hadrosaurs but have been obseved stalking ornithomimids. Gorgosaurs' typical coloration is dark green with vertical gray crossbars, males have a small amout of red feathers on the back of the neck and on the arms.
Teratophoneus
Length: 6 meters
Weight: .5 tons
Height 1.6 meters:
Era: mid Cretacious
Teratophoneus is a night time killer. They have adapted to this to avoid competition with the large bodied predators, who stalk the day time. They reign supreme in the dark nights, killing whatever they can and stealing the kills of the smaller raptors and other predators. They roam in pairs, and are rarely ever alone. Teratophoneus is a charcoal black, with red horizontal stripes running down the entire body.
And...Begin..
The rain had practically come to a stop on the cold, cloudy Isla Nublar night. Water droplets still hit the female Teratophoneus on the top of her mottled head, causing her to look into the heavens for an answer. She shook herself off, and walked into the meadow. Her meadow. Knee high grass tickled her scaly skin, the dew sending shivers up her entire body.
She was on the hung, but not for food. For a mate.
Mating season for all Tyrannosaurs was in full heat. Most animals just stuck to themselves during this time of year.
She came across a large, indistinct animal on the ground. Curiously, she bent down and nudged it.
Then the beast stood up. The tiny, two fingered hands stood out as the full moon shown on the Tyrannosaur.
Through the moon light, She could tell the animal was of similar size.
The large eyes of the male Gorgosaurus were wide with fright, the peculiarly fuzzy animal stood rooted to the spot.
For some reason, This Animal peaked the Teratophoneus' attention. She nuzzled up against the Gorgosaurus
She promptly recieved a bite to the snout. Blood flowed out of the wound, seeping onto the lush grass below. The Gorgosaurus took a few steps back, growling at the Teratophoneus. She pursued him, but only recieved another bite to the snout.
Now she was seeing red.
She bull rushed the Gorgosaurus, knocking him to the ground. He squealed in utter terror.
All the Teratophoneus saw was the dark shape rushing like a torpedo towards her. Then, she wasflying through the air, crashing to the ground with a dull thud.
Before she could get up,The attacker was upon her. Through the slivers of moonlight, she could tell it was a large female Tyrannosaur. Her snorting breath was filled with rage. She stomped the Teratophoneus on the neck.
Finally, the Monstrous tyrant got to her feet, and took a few steps back. She observed several sets of eyes glowing in the moonlight. Young animals of various sizes dotted the grassy meadow. The mother Tyrannosaur stood in front, blocking any access to her youngsters. The Teratophoneus bowed her head in submission, and walked away. She would find a mate some where else.
Winner...Gorgosaurus!
moral of the fight? Never mess with an angry mother.
Nature doesn't deceive us; it is we who deceive ourselves.

When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade. Tell life I don't want you're damn lemons, and then squeeze them into life's eyes!

Keep in mind that many people have died for their beliefs; it's actually quite common. The real courage is in living and suffering for what you believe in. -Brom-
