Every day or so, i will post a fight scenario of two tyrannosaurs. Should make for an interesting read...If this goes well, i will do it with other Theropod families.
So.....
Without furth adue...Let's kick it off.
Daspletosaurus vs Tarbosaurus
Daspletosaurus
Length: 9 meters
Weight: 3 tons
Era: Early Cretacious
Commonly seen roaming in 'death squads, as one observer put it, these animals take any prey item they want. They are basically a down scaled tyrannosaurus rex. They hunt in tight knit groups of 4-6, only the young males and older females are forced out. Daspletosaurus favors the Slower, yet harder to kill Ceratopsians and small sauropods. These Tyrannosaurs Are a dusky grey color, with a purple/red back.
Tarbosaurus
Length: 10 meters
Weight: 4 tons
Era: Early Cretacious
A Hadrosaur slayer in its own right. Fleet footed and massive, Tarbosaurus has its pick for prey. They commonly cross breed with closely related Tyrannosaurs - yet do not tolerate smaller species. They kill them on sight. Tarbosaurus is a smokey gray color, with tigerlike stripes running down the entirety of its body. The throat of the males is pink.
And...Begin..
The panicked honk of the resident Hadrosaur herd had the Old bull Tarbosaurus' attention. From his good eye, he could see they were Corythosaurus. Easy meat.
He drooled uncontrollably at the sight. Any one of them was his for the taking.
And yet, He didn't feel the urge to kill. His stomach was still full from the Sauroposeidon he scavenged earlier in the week.
Hunger was rising, however.
He swatted lazily at the black cloud of flies that surrounded his open may. The pests were eager for the rotten flesh that still hung from his impressive teeth.
The Panicked honking rose in the air once more.
This time, The tarbosaurus saw the cause.
A Daspletosaurus was actively pursuing the herd, and had already bitten down on one fleeing animals tail. The herbivore turned to defend itself, but was subdued with a swift bite to the back of the neck.
The honking ceased.
The Tyrannosaur stood, poised over his kill. He ripped open the Hadrosaurs stomach, spilling the intestines like coils of fat snakes. This peaked the Tarbosaurus' interest.
He walked down the small hill, directly into the Daspletosaurus' line of vision. Immidiately, The smaller Tyrannosaur hissed at his adversary. He wasn't backing down.
The Tarbosaurus strode confidently towards the smaller Tyrannosaur. He put his large taloned foot onto the carcass and growled at the Daspletosaurus.
Instinctively, the Daspletosaurus backed down. He walked away from the kill, to where the Tarbosaurus was standing not 5 minutes ago.
Then he realized, he let his kill go without a fight. He reeled around, and sized up the Tarbosaurus.
The Daspletosaur shrieked, a terrible ear splitting noise. The Tarbosaurus Lifted his bloody snout from the carcass.
The smaller Tyrannosaur began to walk in fast, tight circles around the Asian tyrant. Darting in to take the occasional nip. The Tarbosaur slammed his jaws shut with a huge sound, and then took his chances.
He lunged at the Daspletosaurus, biting down on his back. He thrashed the smaller tyrant around ferociously, and then threw him ten feet. The impact shattered the Daspletosaurus left arm, he got up with a pain filled wail.
The Tarbosaurus snorted indifferently, and resumed eating. The Alarming lizard walked away, leaving his kill.
Then realized he had no reason toleave.
Turning, he noticed the asian tyrant was still busy with the Corythosaur.
He sprinted forward, on The Larger Tyrannosaurs blind side.
Biting down on the vunerable neck with two tons of force, his momentum sending the Tarbosaur collapsing to the ground.
He struggled and kicked, tearing a nasty gash in the Daspletosaurus' thigh.
He held firm.
The life was starting to leave the Tarbosaurus, his breathes beocming shallower and less frequent.
Then, nothing.
The Daspletosaurus went back to his kill, with a deep trumpeting roar that shook the trees. Birds and pterosaurs alike took to the skies.
Dark clouds were beginning to move in on the island. A storm was brewing...
Winner....Daspletosaurus!
Nature doesn't deceive us; it is we who deceive ourselves.
