Mapusaurus vs. Spinosaurus
Mapusaurus roseae
Length: 41 feet (12.5 metres)
Weight: 7 tons
Era: Late Cretaceous
Location: South America
They are often seen hunting in packs, sometimes even together with Giganotosaurs. They are very fast for their impressive size, but have rather short arms with three digits. Their close cousins, Giganotosaurs are slightly larger, but Mapusaurs are far more intelligent. They have fairly weak jaws, but razor sharp teeth and lot of em'.
Spinosaurus aegyptiacus
Length: 50 feet (15 metres)
Weight: 7 tons
Era: Early-Mid Cretaceous
Location: Africa
These animals are regarded as some of the largest theropods to ever walk the planet. With their impressive length and their humngous sail they can scare off almost every other predator. They spend most of their time at the river, fishing. They have the longest arms out of any theropod on the island and three gigantic, hook-like claws to impale fish and pierce through the skin of other dinosaurs. They have long and "weak" jaws, but they are very useful fishing tools due to their length and low weight.
Fight!
A drop of dew fell down from a leaf. As it it fell down all kinds of colors reflected from it. Then it landed. The large fly shaked it's head and rubbed it's front limbs against each other. Then it tried to fly away, it failed on it's first attempt, because of the dew which fell on it's wings, but it was succesful on it's second attempt.
It aimlessly flew around, then it landed on a small rock. It lowered it's head and a tongue emerged from it's trunk. It licked the droplets of dew for a few seconds then it flew away again. This time it seemed to have a goal. It flew towards it's goal without a worry in the world, then it fell down. Something fell on it's wings. It was thick and red. The fly looked up and got away as fast as it could.
What was standing above it was a Mapusaurus. It's snout was covered in blood. It looked angry. It stomped down and roared at it's own opponent. It was a huge animal, it had a chunk of flesh in it's long jaws. Blood kept dripping on the ground from the jaws of the Spinosaurus. Next to them was a dead Hadrosaurid, it had a chunk of flesh ripped out of it's stomach.
The Spinosaurus threw the chunk of flesh to the side and roared at the Mapusaurus. They stared at each other intently. Each one analyzing the weapons which the other one had. The Mapusaurus looked at the Spinosaurus' jaws and saw that they were a minor threat, but were probably very good at gripping. Then it looked at it's arms. They were gigantic and it's humungous claws were almost even more impressive, but it also had a large sail which was filled with blood and connected with the spinal cord.
The Spinosaurus looked at the Mapusaurus' jaws and realized that they weren't very strong, but could cut large pieces of flesh out. He then looked at it's arms, they were pretty small, but with three digits and large claws, but still not a serious threat. other than that, it was also not very robust, but neither was he. He figured that they were about equal in weight.
Then the actual fight started. The Mapusaurus charged at him and he got ready to lunge at his opponent once he was in range, but the Mapusaurus stopped at the last second, the Spinosaurus failed to realize that it was just a mock charge and lunged. His jaws shut close inches from the head of the Mapusaurus, and the Carcharodontosaurid instantly countered. He bit the Spinosaurus' skull and shook it around while slowly getting closer and ready to kick it's chest.
It was almost ready to deliver the deadly kick, when it felt a sudden, yet sharp, pain in it's chest. It screamed and took a few steps back. It had three deep wounds on each side of it's torso from the Spinosaurus' claws. The Spinosaurus shook it's head to get rid of the blood which was blocking it's vision and released a high-pitched roar at it's opponent.
The Mapusaurus was seriously angry and returned the roar, but he had to stop midway through, because his chest hurt even more when he roared. Fortunately for him, the Spinosaurus barely issed his lungs, but it still hurt like hell. The Spinosaurus wasn't doing too well either, he had the upper hand, but the face biting of the Mapusaurus had left behind some very painful traces.
Then they both started charging at each other. Their colossal bodies clashed and they were both dazed from the impact. The Mapusaurus recovered quicker and shoved the Spinosaurus into a nearby tree. It almost fell on it's back, but it regained it's balance in the last moment. The Mapusaurus charged again and wanted to rip out a huge chunk of flesh, but before he could do so the Spinosaurus grabbed his neck with his incredibly long jaws and held him away from himself. The Mapusaurus struggled violently and managed to get out, but before it could get to safety it felt an incredible pain. It looked down it's body and saw that the Spinosaurus had rammed his largest claw in between two ribs, causing them to shift away from each other and colliding with other ribs. All in all, it wasn't very pleasnt for the Mapusaurus.
It tried to get away, but the Spinosaurus bit his neck once again and used his other arm to slash open the Mapusaurus' throat. The animal squealed in pain as the hot liquid poured out's of it's neck in massivre amounts. It fell on it's knees and only seconds after, on it's back. It tried to breathe, but it sounded like a fish on land. Then the Spinosaurus stomped his foot on the Mapusaurus' skull and smashed it, saving it from it's unbearable pain.
Winner: Spinosaurus aegyptiacus
Keep in mind that many people have died for their beliefs; it's actually quite common. The real courage is in living and suffering for what you believe in. -Brom-
