DD9097LS Round 1 Finale: Tyrannosaurus Rex vs Spinosaurus

Tyrannosaurus Rex

For these fights, the Tyrannosaurus is a forty five foot long, nine ton female. She is the larger of a long time mated pair of fifteen years, and with the genetic engineering, has many years left in her before natural causes take her.

Spinosaurus

For this series, the Spinosaurus is a fifty five foot long, seven and a half ton male. He has experience, but has never faced anything much heavier than himself.

Begin!

The Tyrannosaurus pair was in a clearing. The male had been hunting recently, but gave the kill up to a Giganotosaurus that beat him to the kill. The female nodded to her mate before taking her turn to go hunting.

She walked to a river and got a quick drink before setting out to hunt. She turned to leave, and the Spinosaurus took his opportunity. He was hungry, and the female had wandered into his territory. He attacked her from behind, and out of instinct and experience, she lowered herself to the ground and stood up.

The Spinosaurus stumbled back and looked at the female, who is now completely aware of his presence. She looked at him, expecting a more threatening opponent, until she saw his arms. She growled and looked at him, curious, having never fought or seen a Spinosaur in her life. From her current, limited experience, Spinosaur bites don't hurt very much.

The Spinosaurus didn't see the Tyrannosaurus as much of a threat, remembering the previous Rex he fought where he twisted its neck and killed it that way. He remembered how the Tyrannosauru he fought didn't do much damage when it bit his neck, and he figured the Tyrannosaurus was lucky with her escape.

The Spinosaurus roared, and the Tyrannosaurus sensed his arrogance. She roared, but it was half hearted and still more impressive than his. The Spinosaurus reared up and swung his arms, showing his immense size. The Tyrannosaurus reared up to her full height and flashed her teeth. The Spinosaurus didn't take the Tyrannosaurus seriously though, and he attacked again. The Tyrannosaurus ducked and headbutted the Spinosaurus, knocking him off balance. The Spinosaurus remembered his last battle, and that Rex had tried headbutting him too. The Spinosaurus flashed his teeth, and the Tyrannosaurus played along, not scared by her lightweight opponent.

The Spinosaurus charged again, this time ramming the Tyrannosaurus. The Tyrannosaurus stepped back to regain balance, but the Spinosaurus fell over when he bounced off his opponent. He stood up, but at the same time lost his arrogance.

The Tyrannosaurus flashed her teeth and growled before charging the Spinosaurus. The Spinosaurus lashed out with his claws, and he managed to get a good blow in on her face. The Tyrannosaurus roared in pain and stepped back before the Spinosaurus could slash her again. She looked at him again, and now knew that what he lacked in bite, he made up for with his claws.

The Spinosaurus was still unsure about what the Tyrannosaurus could do with her bite, but he knew she was heavy. The Tyrannosaurus roared at the Spinosaurus, full out this time, and then walked towards him. He was beginning to regret attacking her when she picked up speed. He lashed out with his claws again, and he managed to hold her off long enough to come up with a plan.

He mock charged, and the Tyrannosaurus mock charged in response. Neither fell for the attempt. The Tyrannosaurus mock charged again, mouth agape and slammed her jaws shut a few feet from him. The Spinosaurus jumped back, and the Tyrannosaurus charged for real.

She headbutted him, knocking him off balance and then bit his neck. He coughed up blood as she bit harder, and with a loud crack, his neck snapped and he died. The Tyrannosaurus roared at the top of her lungs before picking up the Spinosaurus and walking back to her mate.

She had a warm welcome, and after she set the Spinosaurus down, her mate paid more attention to her injury than the meal. She started eating, and so did her mate, seeing that the wound didn't hurt her too much anymore.

Winner........ Tyrannosaurus Rex 

Larger and stronger, the female played along with the Spino's arrogance for her own entertainment.

Keep in mind, this is my fight, and this is one of the literally thousands of ways the fight could have gone down. Of I wanted to, I could have made a book out of the fight, or it could have one or two sentences.
