Length: 6 meters
Weight: .5 tons
Height 1.6 meters:
Era: mid Cretacious
Teratophoneus is a night time killer. They have adapted to this to avoid competition with the large bodied predators, who stalk the day time. They reign supreme in the dark nights, killing whatever they can and stealing the kills of the smaller raptors and other predators. They roam in pairs, and are rarely ever alone. Teratophoneus is a charcoal black, with red horizontal stripes running down the entire body.
Metriacanthosaurus
Length: 8 meters
Weight: 1 ton
Height: 1.8 meters
Era: Late Jurassic
This sinraptorid live solitary and hunt everything that is smaller than them, although they don't hesitate to attack prey that is bigger than them. Four were originally bred for the original park, but they were unpredictable and dangerous. Metriacanthosaurus can produce lysine, the other dinosaurs were genetically altered not to produce this substance themselves, and this allowed Metriacanthosaurus to survive in a small population after the 1993 incident. Males are slightly smaller than females. Males have a blue throat and red scales above the eye, the females not. Their coloration is yellow with brown stripes.
And...Begin..
The young Parasaurolophus hit the ground with a dull thud. His legs seemed to not be there, he lay vunerably on the hard packed earth. The ringing in his ears was ever present, and only growing louder. His thick pink tongue hung limply from his mouth. It had been days since he had last gotten any water. He called for his herd, but they had left him behind. He could see their powerful tails swinging back and forth as they marched on, the occasionaly mournful wail emminating from the females. To make matters worse, the sun was beginning to set over the mountains.
He tried once again to get to his feet, but his legs were like rubber. The farthest he got was onto his knees.
Then, the high pitched squeal came frome the fern forest to his right. Snarls followed. A spreading panicked seized the sub-adults entire body. He squealed and tried to get up, but got no where.
The monstrous murderer came from the ferns. His teeth bared, saliva drooping from his jaws. A second Tyrannosaur walked behind him, slightly smaller and a lighter shade of black. The hadrosaur could only watch as his killers came closer.
and closer.
The larger male walked over the downed animal, and bent down. His snorting breath was hot on the hadrosaurs neck.
A sharp pain erupts from the Parasaurolophus' neck..
then noting but black.
The male Teratophoneus still clinched his preys neck in his strong jaws. His mate stood thirty yards away, watching expectantly. The male tore open the hadrosaurs stomach and began to feed. The female walked cautiously forward, but soon joined her mate.
They picked the animal clean in 15 minutes. The two tyrannosaurs walked back into the fern forest, looking for prey once more.
The cooing of the birds resonated through the ferns. A small scurrying mammal made the fateful decision to dart in front of the females feet. She lunged forward and snapped the animal up with ease, swallowing it in one gulp.
Then the male saw large claw marks on the bark of a tree stump. It made him stop in his tracks. They certainly weren't his. Gingerly, he sniffed at the bark. Indeed, another predator had been here.
The male starts off at a brisk pace, and comes into a clearing. An animal was in the midst of some ferns, sleeping by the looks of it.It's large claws blackened with tree bark. The Tyrannosaur didn't even think. He lunged for the animals neck, and bit down.
Startled, the animal jumped in fear. it was now on its feet.
The Metriacanthosaurus shook free of the Tyrannosaur, and roared at his attacker.
The female had just entered the clearing.
The fight was on.
The male Teratophoneus charged forward, headbutting his rival in the chest. The Sinraptorid stumbled back, and swung his massive head. The two predators cracked skulls. The sound made birds take to the skies in fright. The female Tyrannosaur now rushed forward, grabbing the Allousaurids back and pushing him backwards. She pushed him into a tree, breaking a few ribs.
He shook her off, and darted forward. His jaws locked on her arm, and he ripped it clean off. She shrieked in agony as blood spurted from the wound. The hot red liquid splattered the ferns around their feet.
Fueled by adrenaline, the male Tyrannosaur charged once more. He rammed into the Allousairds side, sending him to the ground. He looked down at his opponent and roared. A horribly loud, high pitched roar. For good measure, he stomped the Metriacanthosaurus' neck. Hard.
The Tyrannosaur backed up a few yards, keeping his eyes on the rival. He tended to his mate, nuzzeling her snout and licking her wound. Blood was still spilling, but less so now.
The Allosaurid got up, dazed and in serious pain. He roared at the Tyrannosaurs, who shrieked in response. The male stamped his feet, swinging his feet back and forth.
With a low growl, the Allosaurid strode off in search of a new territory.
Winner....Draw!
Even in a two on one situation, the Allosaurid held his ground. Both parties substained minor injuries, but no one was killed.
Nature doesn't deceive us; it is we who deceive ourselves.

MemberCompsognathusApr-12-2014 2:10 PMGood fight. I was rooting for Teratophoneus, but I'm glad that there were no casualties.
Keep in mind that many people have died for their beliefs; it's actually quite common. The real courage is in living and suffering for what you believe in. -Brom-
